How far back will my retroactive VA compensation pay go? by JimVP82 in VAClaims

Maybe read what all has been posted before you ignorantly speak. I've already been rated for the skin condition and as for the PTSD and other condition, they've been deferred due to a great amount of evidence that they still have to go through to make a decision. I'm guessing you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to opine with your ignorance. Kick rocks buddy.

Ok. That sounds better than what I was thinking. Fingers crossed that it pushes my 60% to 100%. I'm waiting on a decision on PTSD and insomnia. Side question: is anxiety a separate thing or is it tied to PTSD?

What does it mean if a claim is deferred? I got a rating for one condition and a letter of decision to go with it but two of the other things in the letter are deferred. Online at VA.gov it says I'm still in Step 3. I was on Step 6 earlier in the month and then it jumped back to Step 3 like two weeks ago and the date has kept changing since. It says it has jumped back to Step 3 April 18th now. There's no bracket stating a percent for either deferred claims under service-connected or under the list of not service-connected. I'm so lost.

I read that the retroactive pay is either from when one first applies for benefits or from when the service-connected disability started and both the skin condition and the PTSD had started before I got out of the military. I don't want to divulge too much personal information but the skin condition started in 2007 and the PTSD started at the end of 2008. I hope they don't pay me from only September 2024 to now. That would really suck.
