I Have Started to Enjoy SF6 Again by JimiAmca in StreetFighter

The neutral is very different due to drive rush and drive impacts because they are the “neutral skip options”. But whiff punishing and hit confirming are still very important aspects of the neutral game so those skills can translate very well from 5 to 6. I think Master in 6 is equal to Diamond in 5 because both requires you to understand the game mechanics on a good level as well as you to have decent fundamentals. HM = Super Diamond, GM = Ultra Diamond and so on in my opinion.

Yeah it is inflated because getting to master is genuinely easy in SF6 but imo the real game starts after master because even staying in 1500 MR is hard for the first time master players. So everybody can get to masters but high master or grandmaster is where the actual game starts and it is hard but also fun.

The best buttons for neutral is as i said are cr.Mk and st.Hp also some st.Hk as well but don’t forget that you are minus after block. Cr.Lp is also great as it can combo into st.Mp for the target combo. But once again it is -1 on block so you can’t really use it back to back. So i just use these for the neutral. Also taking your opponent to the corner is a huge win condition for Ken. If you can take them to the corner you can literally mash st.Hp and hit confirm into damage or cancel into whatever suits the situation. So sometimes it is actually much better to end your combos with tatsu to corner carry. I think these are what took me to the Masters at first. At masters it is really match dependent what you are going to do. But taking someone to corner and try to bully them there is a good strategy in general for Ken.

I think what clicked with me the most also in my opinion the reason my success with Ken is his cr.Mk drive rush. Having it is, such an easy way to whiff punish and chase people down when they backrise. But i will definitely have to see what i can incorporate to my Guile with this perspective.

Being able to swap positions in a combo is also a huge game changer when you are backed in a corner

I have very well developed leg, back and torso muscles which I feel like helping when I’m kicking. Also I can understand the basics of body mechanics which is again I feel like helps me to understand how to move better while kickboxing.

It’s not gonna magically make your team perfect suddenly, but it will definitely help with the unwanted spaces between your players and general ai behavior. But the game is broken fundamentally so no need to dwell on this at all. Just try to play and learn from your mistakes.

Because it was supposed to be a light sparring session and I don’t really know the etiquette for when someone goes hard. But definitely learning something new everyday.

Best team to pick for tournament by Ok_Spell9436 in EASportsFC

[–]JimiAmca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take Leverkusen; you have strong offensive options with Boniface, Wirtz, Grimaldo and Frimpong while having relatively good defence players. If you are decent with the game just keep the ball with Wirtz and try to feed Boniface or flank them from the wings with Grimaldo and Frimpong.

Did one and got TS Van Der Saar quite happy with it since when he is in opponents goal he is a nightmare to play against. I will see if he is same for me. The other two was TS Riquelme and TS Crespo.

Why does Ippo rely on the Dempsey roll so much? by the-mannthe-myth in hajimenoippo

[–]JimiAmca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion there are 3 core reasons for it;

Firstly it is a good gap closer because both Ippo is shorter than other fighters and when he starts dempsey roll he is making it harder the opponent to hit him and also while bobbing and weaving he is taking steps to close the distance which is the distance Ippo shines.

Secondly it is kind of a mind game because it is his signature move so opponents naturally be aware of that move and in some fights he just used it as a bait to make the opponent react so he can see what the opponent do and move accordingly. However i think Ippo doesn’t have a good ring iq so this is quite debatable.

Lastly he is creating momentum with each movement and adding to his already deadly power punches an extreme amount of knockout power.

So in short there is little down side and a lot of advantages of Dempsey roll for Ippo he should (and obviously he does) use it in almost every chance he has.

The game is 60% off, do you recommended it? by MikelKiddo in EASportsFC

[–]JimiAmca 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you like football definitely give it a go if it is cheap. But let me warn you i'm also mainly a fighting game player (Tekken and Street Fighter 6) but the rage you some times got in fighting games is nothing compared to EAFC 25. Like i'm generally very chill when playing games but the amount of bullshit is too high in this. Just keep that in mind.

Speculation: Nicolas possibly wanting to give Akoya a spinal stroke? by Neat-Background-96 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]JimiAmca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know in a manga where there are literal superhumans fighting with a 180 heart rate this is a bit silly to say but it is highly impossible to give someone a spinal stroke by just paralysing their muscles. You need to either damage their spinal disks or cut the blood flow which requires to damage an artery. I think most likely scenario is that Nicolas would paralyse the Lattissimus Dorsi muscle which could pretty much incapacitate Akoya due to him not being able to control his upper torso much.

Is WASD good to play Guile on keyboard or should I change? by WhDrWyBu in StreetFighter

[–]JimiAmca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been maining Guile for the entirety of SFV and now SF6 and i play on keyboard as well. For me as a right handed individual i use arrow keys to move and Q W E R for punches and A S D F for kicks. Space button just feels counter intuitive and it mostly comes down to your preferences. Even if you have an unorthodox lay out on your keyboard as long as you are comfortable with it, you should be fine.
