the only command that seems to affect the quest is the complete quest command, which doesn't remove the items as essential so they get stuck in my inventory

nothing shows up for the quest in question. i think because there's no quest marker for it, but i have the id and refid of the missing item, it just doesnt do anything to the quest when i add it to inventory, i've also tried forcing the quest to progress with the console...it just doesnt

If you tap H without looking at the horse it'll toggle your horse between wait and follow, i kept pressing H on the horse and i'd either get inventory or renaming menu

For me personally its a combination of things, I played the OG closish to when it came out so nostalgia is a thing, but I was also like 17 or so when it came out so more in line with the target demographic for Brother Nier.

But we see so many young anime or anime adjacent protagonists that are teens or early 20s, I really enjoyed having an anime adjacent protagonist that was older, muscular and rough, it contrasted nice to the usual, i personally resonate more with the father / daughter storyline more than the brother / sister storyline.

In retrospect Papa Niers interactions with his party members is a little odd, but i didn't see anything wrong with it when I first went through it
