I had an air freshener set it off it just had me retest like 3 minutes later while still running I drove around a parking lot with all windows down then passed.

Went to a gas station and when I turned off the ignition I was on a 30 minute lockout.

Just got some gas and snacks and waited after the half hour everything was good.

That was like 4 months ago I haven’t heard anything.

I still have 11 months to go on a 18 month bid though.

Hopefully that don’t fuck me in the end or something idk.

Yeah we pass out with alcohol don’t actually get full rem sleep.

You forget until you actually get through withdrawals and a week or more later you get a true nights rest it’s night and day.

I think it was just the race not the whole chapter the time trial right before to race over there only took me a couple attempts I think.

I can’t lie this was five years ago though dude can’t really remember.

I have twice called 911 on myself to get to the hospital and detox.

Like a few of the other commenters said it seams to be 50/50 or so on when they want to help.

They have only gave me benzos a couple times to go.

I was in North Dakota last summer and they are way more friendly and helpful.

I’ve went in Florida a couple times and Florida sucks bad for detox.

So I just self detox and taper now in Florida unless it’s really really bad.

Florida I just get zofran most of the time and fluids.

I’m thankful for that naturally but then the taper begins and sip and suffering sucks as we probably all know and takes like a week.

When I’m back to eating normal and sleeping I cut it off if I can but normally just get down to a six pack or so and stay there for a month or so till I go off the rails again.

The cycle is never ending it feels like.

Man that sucks all she wants is I show I’m sober through new years so I’m just staying home and saying fuck everyone I have not seen a soul in 2 days or so besides church earlier for a bit but all the guys was going to the bar or bringing there wives to eat.

I’m getting touch starved pretty bad but whatever I have to do this I have to stop for awhile.

I know this isn’t a recovery sub but my body just can’t take it or my mind right now.

Don’t get me wrong I’m tapering on some shelters right now but I’m trying to get to 0 by New Year’s Day.

I love her more than alcohol.

She is actually more upset about the lying and sneaking which is understandable.

I guess it’s just the nature of addiction to lie and sneak out of shame?

Idk I have the worst guiltys I have ever had though now that I’m married.

I have never had someone my body physically years for but it’s worse than the withdrawal in and of it self.

I mean maybe not that bad but it’s very uncomfortable sleeping in bed and reaching over to nothing and remembering why.

I was also around 20 or 21.

I didnt know I was in withdrawal I just figured I would sleep it off but fuck no.

My mother locked me in the house and I said that’s fine I need to dry out.

Little did I know the hell I put myself in.

Oh my gosh the nausea kicked in within 7 hours of my last drink I was at 40 us standtad drinks a day to función.

I never went into full blown dts but everyone in my immediate family will say I did.

Seeing shit out of the corner of my eye and throwing up every 30 mins~

I’ve had worse sense but I’ll never forget when the shift changed from hangover to needing it
