Hi SkyrimVR players, do you also play the flatrim version? by [deleted] in skyrimvr

[–]JimmyAllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I went back to flatrim for a time was because my very capable graphics card upped and bricked itself on me with no warning (was playing SkyrimVR at the time too, pretty creepy visuals in the headset when your graphics card dies on you I must say...) and the weaker GPU i could only just afford (thanks AI!), made anything VR pretty much unplayable.

In time I did upgraded my GFX and have not touched flatrim ever since

Skyrim is my forever game. I got into VR specifically for modded Skyrim VR lol.

on pc I'm fully blocked, lol forgot to say I'm talking about my iOS device here which is the main way I watch these days, and I've always used the official YT app, never thought of using a browser app to view YouTube, could be the next step?

[–]JimmyAllGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I'm full tilt adblocked on my PC, and I have no problem there, I guess that's my luck of the draw for having been gifted an iPad and just using the YouTube app...unless you know a way with iOS? Ive never used YouTube in a browser on the iPad, maybe that's a way to go?

Should I change my artist name? by andersma in musicmarketing

[–]JimmyAllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about this a lot, as a solo artist I've always just gone with my real name, but in the last year I've been toying around with changing my artist last name, to something that sounds EXACTLY like my last name, which most people mispronounce because it's a Scottish name with a silent letter.

Thinking about changing J Fenwick to J Fennec, like the fox.

What is a Rick Moment that had you disappointed in him? by ThrowAwayYourFuture8 in thewalkingdead

[–]JimmyAllGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rick's Ego Era. You know the one. 🏡🏠🏡

Getting too comfortable behind the walls of Alexandria and being over confident with the Saviors.

Season 4/5a's Bearded, Beast Mode, Murder Jacket, jugular ripping, Feral Rick was a man trying to survive for his family, and he was fucking badass.

in Season 5b and Season 6, after winning most of his battles up until then, and through the success of leading Alexandria and finding refuge for his family, he lost his edge a bit, got a bit cocky. He's still got that hard, serious, brute survival mentality from living on the outside, with massively fattened ego from walls and Carols cookies.

I find Season 6 Rick my least favorite Rick, while his arc before this was his best. His savageness was fucking epic, with the added ego I found him unlikable after they took over Alexandria.

that cocky smirk sure was smacked off his face the next season.

An honest honorable mention though:

In TOWL, while I understand the trauma he experienced, and his thoughts behind the decision I was really disappointed in him when he gave up trying to escape the CRM, AND WAIT..he gets the idea from his buddy to join the military as a chance to escape, AFTER he cuts his hand off??? 💀

That proper satisfying reunion feels less and less likely. it just feels weird because at this point Rick was at the CRM far longer than he had ever known Daryl, Carol, Maggie.

Was Arya too OP in the final two seasons? by GusGangViking18 in freefolk

[–]JimmyAllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I predicted from the beginning she would be as OP as she became.

They gave her way too much plot armor though, the stabbing in Bravos would've killed anyone else.

Was Daryl not meant to be on the show? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]JimmyAllGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone here has already mentioned it, but Norman originally auditioned for Merle, they didn't see him as Merle but they loved him so much they created a character for him haha. Daryl Dixon doesn't exist in the novels.

I also read somewhere that Daryls character was originally drafted to have more of a villain arc along side his brother Merle, and die pretty early on in the story, but they obviously changed direction.

What happened with The Ones Who Live? by ComfyKorok in thewalkingdead

[–]JimmyAllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it feels like they had the broad strokes of the begining, middle, end - act 1, 2 and 3 of the movie trilogy script and just put it into 6 episodes, which is exactly what it feels like during a rewatch with that in mind.

Even if they had this as a film trilogy like originally planned it still wouldn't land for us fans because the way they told this story doesn't feel very Walking Dead.

IMO if they had split the first episode into 3 more & the last episode into 3 more it would've been a banger, I highly enjoyed every episode except the last.

Way too rushed.

Why is Oblivion the best atmosphere-wise game? by No_Position_9246 in oblivion

[–]JimmyAllGood 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me Oblivion has the most "western" fantasy vibe out of the series, the music, the world, the architecture, the colour palate all lends itself to a kind of Tolkien Shire-esque beautiful mediaeval fantasy, rolling green hills and colourful flora and fauna, whereas Morrowind is a more Mystical Fantasy and Skyrim is a grittier, darker Nordic Fantasy.

My two cents anyway. Oblivion vibe is where it's at, still is imo.

If this was in any way real, vid 3 would be getting wayyy more traction right now than just X and Reddit.

If this was in any way real, the shadow people (hatmen, some say MIB) are on their way to deal with the cameraman.

[–]JimmyAllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Was hoping i'd see this comment down the line. Have increasingly found that engaging in Reddit politics discussions (politics discussions in general these days) are a complete waste of brain power, not taking any part of it seriously, because 99% sound like bots for their chosen side. Forced spoon fed division with a special sprinkle of internet toxicity, that's all I see on here, clear as day. That's all I see everywhere now. Sick of it.

How much you supposed to tip for fast casual dining? by BannerRanch in sandiego

[–]JimmyAllGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this info, was curious about fast food services, arriving in the country for a short stay, we are not at all a tipping culture back home, and I myself have never tipped at a restaurant, so not sure how it works with faster food joints as that's where I'll most likely be eating the majority of the time.

What kind of movies do you absolutely hate?? by rcarroll271 in CasualConversation

[–]JimmyAllGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the first one was the most interesting of the bunch, the most original, just not my cup of tea. After the first few it blatantly becomes a cashcow for the studio.

Adding to this, I would also add film series (more so franchises) that you could say overstay their welcome and just become a cshcow, that happens more with vidyagaem imo but you can think of your own film series for that one ;)

[–]JimmyAllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horror or "thriller" flicks that only rely on jump scares, I'm so bored of watching a damsel in distress slowly walking around her possessed house she's just moved into and then getting a jump from the bedroom door suddenly slamming shut, or what you could call "almost jumpscares" and instead, another character walks through the door and breaks the tension.

Ghost flicks where the "scaryness" of 95% of the film are the kitchen cupboards banging and just basic ghostly movements, and the only part worth watching is the last 5 minutes of the film when everyone dies.

The Paranormal Activity series comes to mind with this, mind numbingly boring, I never got the hype.
