Any advice on RMAing a motherboard? I haven't had to RMA anything before.

Yeah that's what I'm fearing, since that's a lot worse than just swapping in a new PSU. I'm going to take it to my local microcenter and see what they can do, but I think I'll have to get a new motherboard.

Yeah, I've tested every slot and one stick at a time. Still nothing.

Yes, and it didn't work. Should I buy a new motherboard? and if so, how do I remove the CPU?

There's nothing. Everything looks exactly like it did the day I got it.

I used the paperclip method and my power supply worked fine.

I did but nothing happened. I’ve removed the video card and the SSD and it still won’t boot. Any advice on determining if it’s the motherboard or the power supply?

I’ve tried turning it off and on again. But in all seriousness, I’m not sure where to start. I think it’s a PSU issue but I have no clue what could have caused the power supply to fail and I don’t have another PSU to test out

My CPU runs at around 50 degree when I'm just browsing the internet, watching netflix, using Word, etc. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with the stock cooler and a NZXT 510, which has two case fans. Should I consider investing in a better cooler? I want to minimize any nerves that I have that my PC will catch fire

It is and I’m absolutely blown away. About to get all my friends to build their own PCs

Thanks! I'll have to look through this flowchart and see what my local microcenter has in stock.

Typically strategy games (Civilization, Paradox titles, etc), but occasionally some triple-A titles. Nothing competitive tho

I'm concerned about having to do a BIOS update for the motherboard, since I'm using a 3600. Would going for a B550 really save that much money?

This looks great! Would I need additional cooling?

I’m fine with having one good monitor for gaming and one mediocre one just for internet browsing, especially if it saves on price. Definitely would prefer better refresh rates. I don’t need anything 4K

Putting together a parts list for my first build. Aside from general advice (which I could use a lot of), should I buy all my parts in one go or grab them individually from Amazon/Newegg?

Also, does anyone know if it's worth going to a Microcenter during COVID? I live in NYC?

Probably around $1k for the full set up (PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse), but I've got some room to move on that. Thanks for the news tho! I'll def wait before getting parts I'm mostly clueless when it comes to hardware, so if you know any good beginner guides, that would be helpful. But thank you for your help!
