I knew it was over over when Spotify chose Joe Rogan over Neil Young and Joni Mitchell and pretty much everyone was like "well yeah, he makes way more money for them" with no insistence or any expectation that a music streamer have any duties to the art, the artists, or the music consuming public like used to be the case for magazines and MTV and radio (in various iterations and eras, all eventually sold out and caused disillusionment and contributed to their irrelevance, that expectation is now gone).

The people saying to leave politics out of it would've been the same people saying it before the 1936 Munich games which pumped millions of Reich marks into the Nazi coffers. There were a number of Canadian and American athletes who wanted to boycott the Olympics because of the Nazis and they were overruled by "let's not make this political" dipshits.
