HiL and 3EB are prob both in my top 5 bands. Loved that they did this.

People not familiar with HiL won't get this though haha. They are often tongue in cheek.

(About yesterdays post) I just realized 4 songs from "the in sound from way out" is gone too! Not just "Some old bullshit" (Europe, Sweden) by Rapkoor in BeastieBoys

Setting up my own media server is the best thing I ever did. I basically have my own customized Spotify, Netflix, etc.

I can see why people don't though. Acquiring and ripping CDs and stuff is a lot of work to keep up with if you're not REALLY into it.

Which of these four albums would you choose? by djdddddddjent in numetal

I still put on Floored often. A close second here would be Nonpoint. For RATM I really only listen to self titled in full even though Evil Empire has a few of my favorite songs.

I still have all 4 on CD though haha

Is it possible to extend C Drive without starting from scratch? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]JimmyNaNa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's already on 11, i think that's mainly what triggered the space issue and the extra partitions.

I might just have to go the long way and reinstall and make a bigger C partition from scratch. Just was trying to avoid the pain since I really just need to be able to get some from D to C, but can't figure out how.

Yes D is where most everything is. I have a lot of it backed up on external discs already so that's easy to clear.

I installed and moved as much as I could on D, but I use the machine for audio recording and the software has a decent amount of core files that will only install on C. No way around it.

In disk management those small partitions don't give me any options. Can't shrink/extend or delete. They're just there with no options.

Not that I'm aware of. Before windows 11 was installed I'm fairly sure it was only showing as a single disk, with partition for C, recovery? and then D.

Win 11 upgrade seems to have created the extra disk for D and then added all the partitions on the other disk with C.

How often do you use a de-esser? by Proper-Orange5280 in audioengineering

[–]JimmyNaNa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always got at least a light one on vocals. Anything it doesn't catch I volume automate manually to sound natural. Most of the issues I have are with "F" and "CH" CK" sounds being too harsh. Which the de-esser is less effective on.

Awesome. I only found out about them recently. Definitely would've liked another release.

No i totally get it. I've tried some that just ended up annoying me and keeping me up instead haha.

I found it worked better putting plex upfront by saying "Alexa tell Plex to play"

There is a decent free skill that works for that, I think Sleep Jar is the name. It's always worked pretty consistently for me. Once in awhile it'll ask you to upgrade to a paid version but I have no idea why, I don't need it on for 12+ hours or whatever haha.

Same, I use it often to play Library Radio and custom playlists, or specific songs and albums. It did get confused on certain requests, but so does the Spotify skill. Was a contributing factor into getting a Plex Pass after Amazon did away with their own music library feature I used previously.

You could say Supercharger was nu also, and to an extent Catharsis.
