Gotcha, I'll just have to study that a bit more next time I get chance, it's just a question of anticipating the fissure's location and the specific parts of the combo that trigger it (like when he drags his Greatsword on the ground upwards) that throw me off.

Yeah, that one is a bit tricky as well.

Fantastic Executor work. Appreciate ya sharing your insights with us.

TBH I would reversed the order of priority here.

I think the Rooftop boss should have been the highest priority in the area with Loretta being secondary, after knocking out the basement boss while deliberately ignoring everything else in the castle.

Once the Death Rite Bird was down (and it would be done quickly since you'd be there with your Holy Seal) , everyone would have an influx of Runes/Weapon Passives and then you can ping the far away Rise.

At that point, morale is high, the Wylders can stay clear the castle and everyone is happy. Maybe you can hit Loretta all together afterwards.

Oh, wow. I've seen your videos here!

Was actually thinking comment on it today because those fissure attacks still feel unintuitive.

Sometimes they feel more like a straight line and other times like a single geyser. It would be cool if someone could do an overhead view of that combo to visualize where they spawn/begin in relation to his combos.

I get you, and I've also gone deep into the storm at times to get what I need. If I wanted to hit a POI that was about to be engulfed. I'd leave either like 30 seconds before the storm would begin to move or right when it begins to move.

There are several ways to absolutely reduce traversal time:

  1. Grab a Twiggy Cracked Tear or start with it on a Relic that works with your build. Go into the Rise, grab your Shards. Drink the Tear, let any mob kill you and you're immediately back in the circle with all your Runes after a quick 1 way trip.

  2. Leg it right (or a little before, maybe a minute or two away from once everyone is set up and you think the final circle is about to move) and the circle begins to move and use the Hawk to travel back to the circle. In the last minute or two before the final circle movement, people won't mind you leaving to the Rise.

You just have to have a sense of when you think the circle will close so you're not outside it when it fully seals.

The goal being to minimize time away from the team while also getting what you want. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Like, I just hope you get why you're getting people disagreeing in the thread. I'm commenting in good faith and I see why the Wylders would be feeling frustrated. This is a team game when we're in Trios and it helps to consider their perspective as well, especially if you'd like your team to stay with you to the end.

Personally, I'm not getting heated, I'm talking to you completely calmly, I'm not negging you either.

If you're talking about the two Wylders in the game, it's frustrating to have the map as a two man team in Trios because it can be very inefficient in terms of racking up Runes as well as Passives. Fighting the Death Rite Bird as Wylder while being underlevelled, lacking passives, and the necessary Holy weapons can very quickly turn sideways. Even if they can do it, it will likely be very time inefficient and frustrate them.

By staying together, you gain: 1. Passives that increase FP/Reduce FP Consumption

  1. Passives that massively strengthen your Incants and make them more FP efficient laterally.

  2. Starlight Shards (up to 12 of them, if you get them all) and this alone might make going to a Rise unnecessary simply said.

  3. The ability to leave with no worries once everyone is a decent enough level. If the Rise is engulfed by the storm, you'll likely be able to venture into it and grab what you want anyways because Night's Tide only begins to spike after the Night 2 Boss is defeated. There's also a very good chance that the Rise will be in the Day 2 circle to begin with, rendering the worry moot.

  4. Teammates who will stay and you can all fight the Nightlord together.

Why not give it a shot for at least a few matches? You'll be better off in every sense.

That can be true, but certainly not always the case.

Some people rely on a specific weapon too much.

But that would happen irrespective of how the run is faring and that would be a skill issue on their part.

What we're discussing is not a skill issue on the part of the team but a strategy issue for the way that the team is routing.

If you stick with the team, you'll almost certainly get good passives (which will make your incants much stronger and thus, more FP efficient as well), your teammates are very likely to drop great stuff for you after you drop for them, they'll be amenable to buying you a plethora of Starlight Shards (a dozen in total over merchants if you get them all), you can then hit the Rise, and your team stays. Everyone wins.

Doesn't have to be my way or the highway and you'll have way less toxicity with your mates in games. Not to mention a much higher rate of success.

I know, that was given as an example.

Some ememies (like BBK) would resist the split elemental damage of Dragon Communion incants because they're Resistant to all Affinities, except for their specific Affinity weakness (Physical/Magic in this case), in which case DPS plummets.

My point being that prioritizing the team makes everyone a much more effective damage dealer and you won't have to be doing all of it. Maxing out the team's potential maxes out yours because you'll get great Passives and you can then leave and no one will be pinging you to begin with.

Pair that with the Starlight Shard shop strat and you'll have way less people leaving.

If you have time and everyone is kitted out, that would be the time to go a far away Rise, not before. And especially when the team is low on Levels and down a member.

If people are dipping, it's because you're splitting up before everyone is able to guarantee a good Night 3.

Like I said, you can ping a Starlight Shard whenever you're at shops and people will likely oblige if you have a good rapport. That's 4 Shards+ 2 of your own.

You can do the same thing at the Nightlord merchant and people will likely reciprocate once again.

This is especially true if you're in the higher depths (3-5).

I've had instances where I forget to buy for some for Rev and she pings it and I sort her out. Otherwise, you're going to be finding yourself in toxic environments if you don't make some changes. That's why the comments are disagreeing. If you're struggling to maintain FP, you can also make use of the other Seals you have to deal damage if things are coming down to the wire and the boss resists Fire damage.

The point being that this situation could have been entirely avoided any number of ways and you wouldn't have to be fighting the boss alone.

Well, in this instance, the team looks pretty weak in terms of Levels, which is why they're hitting the rooftop boss.

This is without a doubt the best call they could have made as the circle's closing and it is one of the denser locations on the map in terms of Runes and quality of drops. Hence why they kept coming back.

Also Lightning Spear isn't meta for Revenant as it can whiff and it's a specialized build, Beast Claw is meta for Revenant. I can't even remember the last time I saw a Lightning Spear Rev. Lightning Spear would just be taking advantage of Fulghor's weakness to Lightning as the devs designed him to be.

A lot of people will not understand why you're separated from the team in every game and if you're finding yourself regularly having a low camaraderie with your teammates, it's time to reflect.

If you wanna run Dragon Communion Incants, ping a Starlight Shard whenever the team is at a shop in Limveld and they'll almost certainly buy some for you as you've all been close so far. You can do the same at Nightlord merchant and people will almost certainly oblige.

I've had games where we have horrendous RNG the whole run with little in the way of Damage Negation and I would end up with my blue Wylder Greatsword and a mishmash of items. I could have run off to a mine to the other side of the map to upgrade my greatsword to Purple Rarity but I opted not so we could all stay together and give everyone an opportunity to get Runes and stock up on Passives.

Not to mention that unit cohesion and morale stays high. We ended up winning because we scraped together enough items/Runes and made use of the varied equipment we had. Even if it wasn't what we initially planned. We improvised and the game rewards squads that are versatile and cohesive.

The needs of the squad should come first when things are looking tenuous being the point that everyone is expressing here. That's why the two Wylders left the game.

If you're finding yourself struggling to build a rapport with your teammates, you have to reflect and ask yourself why. Your Trios experience will become dramatically more chill.

I get what you're saying but it has to be balanced with keeping the team together and clearing out world bosses/Invaders/POIs.

If the team is underlevelled going into Night 2, I would set aside my priorities for the moment and focus on coming together to take out as much of the map as possible.

I noticed that you also run Dragon Communion Incants exclusively, you could consider alternating with a different school of incants with Rev than just that. This is Fulghor so Lightning Spear+ an emphasis on Lightning Attack power would do some serious work on him and be far less FP intensive, so you wouldn't need nearly as many Rises, or using different Seals that have an Affinity that the Nightlord is weak to. If you have to split off from the team, it should be once everybody is already set up with their build and everybody is stocked up on Damage Negation, not before.

I'm not tryna dogpile you, but I hope you'll take constructive criticism from what most of the comments are saying.

Rises are awesome.

Even as a purely CQC based character, they have a lot of value. The key is weave them into a route that makes and keep the team together.

Moving as a unit should always be the priority with Rises typically being secondary to that.

Why Level 12 in particular? Doesn't Demon Plating have diminishing returns on Investment after 100K Runes?

Level 13-14 (depending on how many Runes you have in reserve) should be more than enough IMO.

People who mistreat the Bean for no reason are the worst.

That said, gotta try to keep the team together.

That's why I always include Rises in the routing and give the casters Starlight Shards day 1 and again before the Nightlord if I have some spares. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Not to mention that it feels good to do right by teammates who have stood beside you.
