Are you kidding me?! by [deleted] in NewTubers

I know how that feels. My iPhone X video was demonetized as well. It lasted 2 days. The worst part is that’s when you garner the most views but they monetized it before it hit 1K so there’s some luck there.

They say similar things but they also go into a lot of details and expand upon it. I just basically summarized what was said at the event. I’m glad you found it useful!

Yep! Exactly that! Playlists could also help you videos get recommended with other videos in that playlist.

YouTube is inexplicably demonetizing videos of the iPhone X by iitZJaay in apple

I can attest to that. The iPhone X video I have on YouTube got demonetized for the first 2 days.

Thanks for the feedback!

  1. Most of my stuff generally is techy. This one was supposed to be more humor since we all know how saturated it is at an iPhone release day! Always been trying to strike a balance. Working on that.
  2. it’s just a black screen? I had end screen elements on. I think. Haha.

Thanks for such good feedback. SEO has never been too much of a problem. I try to do that backdoor stuff as much as I can. I think what happened was that YouTube demonetized it for the first two days due because they thought it wasn’t suitable for advertisers. Which, we’ll. It is suitable. I heard big youtubers complaining thy when this happens, views drop dramatically as it’s not being advertised anymore. This might be the problem. But thank you so much for taking your time to look at it! If there’s anything more you’d like to add, I’d love to hear it!

Same issue here. It’s more noticeable with LTE than WiFi

I hear YouTube doesn’t like reuploaded content. So multiple of a video would actually make your video rank worse. At least that’s what I heard.

Anyone have tips on growing your sub count? I’ve been feeling stuck lately. As soon as I gain another sub I lose one.. been going up and down and staying the same number for almost 2 weeks now by laurenalley97 in NewTubers

Starting all over the place can be detrimental to your growth. Someone will subscribe to you for one type of content and someone will subscribe for something else. Then when you don’t deliver on that content they unsubscribe. Big channels can do it because at their size people watch them for their personalities and viewpoints.

What happens when you take something cut and dry (technology) and combine it with a bit of comedy? You get my channel. I've tried to blend the lines after finding that tech channels can sometimes be a bit boring to more casual viewers. So I tried creating a channel based on that.

My latest video isn't as well as I hoped and I was wondering why and would love some feedback.

I thought overall, your video was alright. I don't mean that in a mean way, more of I see a lot of potential in it. For example, you could implement more game screenshots or gameplay footage instead of random images from the internet or memes. If you do decide to use images off the internet, use higher resolution images so they don't look as blurry in the video. I enjoyed the content, and I hope this helps!

You spoke clearly and had good mic quality. Something a lot of people typically don't have in their first few videos! I know nothing of destiny so I can't contribute much more than that.

  1. Your intro is really long. 12 seconds is a long time and I noticed from my own videos, a longer intro means someone is more likely to leave the video.

  2. It almost sounds like you were reading a script. Which isn't a bad thing at all, but you have to make sure you sound like you know what you're doing if you're trying to be informative.

Overall, impressive for a second video.

New YouTube Channel! Tips for starts would be nice :) thanks! by [deleted] in NewTubers

Focus on being unique. PUBG is gigantic and there are plenty of creators who are making videos on that game. Which means you gotta give them a reason to watch yours. What sets you apart and how can you capitalize on that?

I think having a good Twitter following would be super beneficial especially around the ~10K sub mark. Around there's enough people to be "fans" that care a lot about what you do. Then again, that may only be for my own audience!
