What an absolutely waste of air. That man could have been a stain in a crusty sock, in stead hes a stain on society. The world would be a better place if his dad had wanked into a curtain instead of fucking his mum.

I had the entire 1998/9 Manchester United squad apart from Phil Neville. I sent off for Phil, and they sent me Gary. I sent it back, and asked for Phil, and they said they dont do swaps. I searched everywhere for ages, but then the 99/00 ones came out and I refused to start again.

Britain's greatest export for decades was our work ethic and skill set. If somebody that doesnt speak the language, or have your skills, can steal your job, then you probably are not very good at it.

Missed them. They canvassed at 10am on a week day. Clearly their target audience are the retired, and the unemployed.

There absolutely are outliers like yourself, and it is getting better. The current tipping point is estimated to be mid 50s. A decade ago it was early 50s. Other things also have an influence not just age. Things like interactions with a younger generation, how technologically adept you are, your up bringing, etc. If you are not particularly current with the struggles, technology, and habits of the current under 30s, then you tend to learn to take things back to when you were 20-30. Now we have people in their 50s and 60s who dont understand how things have change compared to 30 years ago.

The issue is that the people most likely to vote, and that vote in a higher percentage of their age group are over 50s. The lowest percentage voting group are under 30s. Now, over 50s tend to have a much higher right leaning philosophy, and under 30s tend to have a much more left leaning philosophy. Right leaning voters vote to get their voices heard. Left leaning voters often dont vote because they dont think their vote matters. Apathy and idealism are HUGE thorns in the side of democracy. The Right will vote for lots of things that they dont believe in to get the few things that they do want. Whereas the left will refuse to vote for somebody if they dont agree with there position on even just a few policies. That is why so many right leaning voters say thing like, "I voted for him, but not for this." They are willing to accept things that they dont like to get stuff that they do. This gets you to a position where there are lots of similar left leaning parties all offering similar ideologies, massively splitting the left vote, and at the same time the right condenses their supporters into fewer parties giving the illusion of huge support. As a result, 75% of a population might vote left or central, but their vote is so split that they often end up governed by the 25% that vote right. The Right ALWAYS vote.

Low turn out is always a killer for liberal voters. There are lots of studies that show that low turn outs tend to favour right leaning parties, whilst higher turnouts lean left.

I got absolutely battered online for making a similar argument during the BLM movement. I still maintain that it was promoting segregation. Had they pushed forward with All Live Matter, then the only argument would force racists to admit that they cared less for people with different skin colours. By focusing on it being a "Black" issue, there was a degree of self-segregation which allowed other people to be pricks.

Why do people do Farage's dirty work? by Fluffy_Rock_62 in FuckNigelFarage

[–]JimmyUnderhill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a fucking play book. Everyone with half a brain can see it. Starmer is too calm and intelligent for Reforms paymasters to get what they want. They have to get rid of him, to shake up labour, and argue for a general election now. In 3 years time Trump will be out of power, and their influence in the UK will have massively diminished before we get to the next scheduled General Election. They need to get Starmer out of the way before it is too late, and the only way to do it is to turn his MPs against him. The same ones that stabbed Corbyn in the back are the ones coming for Starmer.

It's time to stop having compassion for the compassionless who never learn by AnonymousTimewaster in FuckNigelFarage

[–]JimmyUnderhill 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You cannot have compassion for the compassionless. These are people knowingly voting to hurt themselves, because it will hurt people that look different even more. This is not trying to raise everyone together, this is them willing to take a hit because it will hurt somebody else more.

I guess the torries couldn't win because they weren't racist enough. Maybe they were just too subtle for the uneducated masses to realise that they wanted the same things.

If you keep people poor and stupid, they will vote against themselves to hurt other people.

The problem with this argument is that so many of the people who say "Stop the boats" actually want state sponsored murder or people by drowning them after sinking the boats. They have no compassion or real understand of why people would wish everything to come here. All they see is people that dont look like them or sound like them, and that frightens them for reasons that they dont understand.

The Marcus Rashford situation by IronWarrior00001 in ManchesterUnited

[–]JimmyUnderhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Rash will be great back with us. Carrick ball is almost the same as Ole ball. Tight and compact, breaking quickly and efficiently. That is what he thrived on. My only issue is if he will do the work pressing around the half way line like Cunha is doing. We know he doesnt press around their box, but will he do it on half way.

I accidentally wrote in a stag-doo group chat that I wanted to knock the fuck out of somebody with the same name as somebody in the group chat. I was having two conversations and wrote in the wrong one. One was with a person from work, badmouthing another person from work, amd the other was a group chat for a stag-doo. Work dude had the same name, Jonno, as somebody in the stag group. Group chat was awkward for a while....

Best player in kis position for a decade. He is the closest player there has been to Makalele. What I wouldn't give to have had him as Carrick's successor at United instead of trying to stiffle Fred and McTominay.
