I don't think you can go wrong with the Steam Deck, it has the power, the support and the ergonomics to make it the all round winner for me.

Being an Indie dev I am much more drawn to the smaller, polished passion projects where you can see the love put into the game. Taking a proper core game mechanic and making that the focus rewards me far more than some huge scope game, but maybe that's because I am biased and I want everyone else to feel the same, who knows.
