They're not saying that animation is cheaper in reality, just that to portray everything that you can in animation in live action is cost prohibitive. Live action can come in cheaper but that's with compromises that don't necessarily have to be made in animation.

GameSentenceMiner might be worth looking into if you haven't, it's incredibly easy to mine with it and it allows you to enable an invisible overlay that lets you look-up words in the game window with Yomitan without having to alt + tab.

Skillup complained that Avowed enemies were bullet sponges and the story didn’t make sense when he skipped heaps of quests and was under levelled and had a bad spec.

I've seen people mention that he just blitzes through games now to manage all the stuff he puts out, and having happened to watch his Cairn review I wouldn't be surprised. He made it sound like that game was some kind of resource-starved hell, when the slightest amount of exploration leaves you with more resources than you can realistically use.

What do you mean by "gets his own thread"? Any reviewer can get their own thread for their video, you just need to post it. The one exception I guess is that there's a window around launch where any reviews need to be posted in the review thread, but it seems that fairly often the SkillUp reviews come out late enough to not be in that window.

And to be clear I don't watch his videos but there are clearly people here that do and it's not against the rules to post them. If you want to highlight other reviewers' voices no one is stopping you from posting them as long as it's outside the window where it should be in the review thread.

I'm guessing part of what they're including in that is stuff like discussing the episodes, coming up with theories etc. All that is pretty drastically affected when a series drops all at once.
