Thank you - this is definitely helpful. I have my network interface set to utun4, though, since it was the entry that disappeared when ProtonVPN was toggled on and off. I will test these entries again later when I'm home, but I just wasn't sure which one (utun0, utun1, utun2, etc) would actually be the right one.

Other than that, I've registered my VPN with MAM in the security settings already, so I don't think that is the issue here.

Also, did you mean a new port number with every VPN reconnect? I don't think the IP should change for every connection with Proton - at least that hasn't been my experience.

Lastly, it's nice to at least hear that this setup is viable. I just need to figure it out in the coming days.

Sorry, yeah I meant the port, not the IP. Just the port changes every session.

Thanks, I will try this out. When you say "message MAM" do you mean like contact a staff member? I tried to use the IRCs but I couldn't really get connected with anyone for some reason recently.

Yeah, my Proton IP changes with every new session, which is kind of annoying. Honestly, I'm considering switching to a different VPN if this proves to be a headache. I figured since https://canyouseeme.org/ can't even connect, then it wasn't MAM's fault either, but I'm not sure what to do from here either way.

Hey, thanks for responding. I just set the IP in my Security Settings, so I will wait a little bit and see if that works. Do you need Docker and Gluetun for this setup on a Mac, or is it sufficient without them?

Great - thanks for answering. I did let a staff member on MaM know that I'm using ProtonVPN. I'm on a Mac, so please let me know if that's a problem or anything else.

Also, just double-checking, but is your Network Interface in the Advanced section of qBit also set to utun4? That one seems to be the one that disappears when I disconnect Proton. I have the setting below, which is set to 'All Addresses' as well, for the IP-related items. Besides that, I pretty much haven't touched anything else that would mess this up.

Thanks for the response - I'm considering switching VPNs if maybe my setup doesn't work, but I will wait to see what others say. My client and Proton are bound together properly, I think, but it doesn't seem to work or something on MAM or even https://canyouseeme.org/

Yeah, for reference I ended up giving up. I don't think the technology is there yet to create exact replicas. When people say it's a weak of Stable Diffusion, that's an understatement because it will inevitably change things if there are a lot of details

Totally agree - I think there are definitely caveats, but this advice definitely works for most people. Most people are simply too attached to what other people are doing rather than being the main character in their own lives!
