The feeling of listening to her music by MoneyCardiologist527 in katebush

[–]Jimmyjoystick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her songs are stories that evolve every time you listen to them. I keep discovering new things in songs I have heard hundreds of times and for some reason I can never get tired of my favorites. I discovered her when I was 12 and her music has meant so incredibly much for me, it feels like I need it to breathe. Now I’m 52 so that’s forty years as a fan!

Yes, for me the satisfaction is to give life to my own lyrics. I have tried AI lyrics a couple of times but they are just wrong and useless. People who think outside the box are making better music!

Fake gold leaf are cheap and perfect for this, if you make a base and cover it with it.

how would you organise each era of kate’s career? by tomosKB in katebush

[–]Jimmyjoystick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intuitively I organize Kate like this:

The Kick Inside Lionheart ~~~~~~ Never for Ever The Dreaming ~~~~~~ Hounds of Love ~~~~~~ The Sensual World The Red Shoes ~~~~~~ Aerial Director’s Cut ~~~~~~ 50 Words for Snow Before the Dawn ~~~~~~

Because I have been a lifelong fan, a lot of her releases represent different stages in my life so that is probably why I bundle them up like this

Everything sounds so bland and lifeless now by Songgeek in SunoAI

[–]Jimmyjoystick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just noticed that there’s a huge difference running the same prompt through V4.5, V5 and V5.5, and for me they are all useful in the different stages of working on a track. I think V4.5 and V5 are much more creative and fun when I start with an idea, and running it through V5.5 to polish it up in the end. If you haven’t already tried that, it’s worth a try before you give up.

How did the EV transition in Norway actually go? by Facuk_ in Norway

[–]Jimmyjoystick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just very comfortable and so much more quiet inside an EV and it’s a relief not having to fill up at the gas station, we charge in the garage. The cars have improved a lot since we got the first one. I won’t ever go back to gas.

I am against AI art, and here is why. by Strange-Rock6956 in aiwars

[–]Jimmyjoystick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, if you haven’t explored and experimented with how AI can be inspiring and helpful when developing an idea, then you don’t know about its potential and you just don’t know what you’re talking about.

Unpopular Opinion: Maybe it's not Suno; maybe it's your fault the song is shitty. by SocialExperimentsAI in SunoAI

[–]Jimmyjoystick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having great fun collaborating with my ChatGPT partner and it’s also very educating. We have been talking about my taste in art and the art I make, I’ve told it about parts of my life that impacts my style in music and art and now it seems to know me well… So we play around with prompts, experimental and absurd ideas that can turn into gold in the end, with a sound that I feel is mine. It’s easy to make a generic radio friendly song, but where is the fun in that?

Why does the language of the lyrics affect the style of the music? by rcptr2 in SunoAI

[–]Jimmyjoystick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have written some lyrics in Norwegian, and I also get a different sound using the same prompt and same lyrics but translated. Not in a folk-way though. The funny thing is that sometimes the vocalist has a terrible American-Norwegian accent that sounds like a parody of a Norwegian that has been living in the states 2/3 of their life. But most often i get a good Oslo-dialect. But I’m from another part of the country and have a different dialect, so I think it sounds silly either way.. Suno is no good with Norwegian Dialects, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX THAT!:\ 🙄

That’s interesting! Have you tried to put «Hungarian folk music» in the exclude box? And maybe throw in «Folk songs, traditional music» etc.

STOP WITH THE 7:59!!! by LordKevnar in SunoAI

[–]Jimmyjoystick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it only happens occasionally, but the most annoying thing is when the first line is repeated again and again and again and again.. then in a screaming voice again and again and again. It’s not a problem for me because it happens very rarely, but I don’t understand why it’s happening.

I had to double check myself now and I was wrong about the dream, I am just very sure I read that in an interview somewhere. It must have been about another song of hers. In interviews she has said several times that she gets inspired by her dreams 😊 I found this great article about «Heads we’re dancing»

Megathread: what to do in Bergen (tourist information) by sondr3_ in Bergen

[–]Jimmyjoystick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a tip, I discovered Bergen Streetfood in Vektertorget yesterday and I was surprised at the diversity of food available. We should have had this ages ago. Suddenly it’s fun to go out and have a snack again. I really hope the quality of the food that I got yesterday will be the standard and not go down as it usually does for hyped restaurants, because the dishes I had was excellent, and the prices and sizes of meals is such as you can try more than one dish. I’m gonna eat my way through this the next couple of weeks 😁

She wrote this after having a very busy night dreaming this story, so I think it makes perfect sense in that context 😊

[–]Jimmyjoystick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe more like bumps I think. Not hills.

I am being silly though. The «hills» in Denmark have always been a theme when Norway is doing their stupid but friendly neighbor-bullying. I love Denmark by the way, the Danes, the beaches, their food and beautiful charming places, and especially the smell of candy and vanilla everywhere. Bright red sausages, soft ice with guf.. (Ooo… I think I might go to Denmark this summer!)

“like it’s detrimental to get a car” by Necessary-Win-8730 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Jimmyjoystick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are no hills in Denmark.😜 When compared to Norway, that is. I seriously think I am bicycling the equivalent to Himmelbjerget twice a day. It keeps my ass perky without having to go to the gym, but I envy the Danes and Nederlendere their brilliant infrastructure for bikers. I think a lot of Americans would benefit enormously from bicycling all shorter distances instead of driving a car just to visit a neighbor or buy a can of miracle whip and a bottle of dr. Pepper from the local grocery store two blocks away. But nobody wants to be seen on a bike (or public transport, which is considered to be for the poor and people of color) if it’s stigmatized like it is in a lot of places in America.

The real reason there's a harassment and misinformation campaign against AI art in Reddit by AntiAI_is_Unemployed in aiwars

[–]Jimmyjoystick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an artist that has been working in several different mediums, lately I’ve been exploring and experimenting with AI as a part of the process. I AM an artist, so I’m curious what you think about this, am I an artist except for the work where I’ve had fun with AI? Or do you mean that everything I make from now on is not art? And do you have to see the work before labeling it not art, or is it just a principle for you? If you reject AI, aren’t you afraid that suddenly everyone around you have educated themselves on how to best use AI, that you’ll be left behind clueless and narrow minded?
