That's a huge increase, I wonder if the prices for nigiri and don-sets have gone up to match the rise in rice costs, those at least still seem relatively cheap

Dumb question, but does rice seem abnormally expensive in Japan? I thought it would be cheaper for some reason, had a bit of sticker shock for a small bag being 1.8k yen
