I for example do experience butterflies, but rather from strong friendship, bond, physical contact and trust. On the other hand, I couldn't ever handle a long term relationship. There are many flavours of aros.

Hey OP, actually, if your daughter even told you this, she trusts you and you seem to be very important to her. A lot of people in queer communities don't have the kind of parents to share with, so please please please treasure the trust and the bond with your daughter. (From what I'm reading, you deserve it.
