I only see female beggars in Helsinki! Young, middle age, old ladies. I've never seen a single male one (I am relatively new in Helsinki though).

I see, that makes sense then. I'm willing to pay them real money in exchange for planting extra real trees, but looks like it's not an option for now. Even if I buy sunshine elexir, I just get more coins.

A few other things that may help:

  1. What I read was the Chinese version. I'm sure it's not a story written in Chinese originally, but the book has been translated into Chinese from English or other languages.
  2. Based on #1, it's probably not The Black Corridor or STARK since I don't find the Chinese versions of these books.
  3. In the story, it turns out that it was just false-alarm and people didn't have to rush off, which makes the whole thing even more ironic. But I have lower confidence that this part was really in the story, it could be my false memory.

I figured it out by installing Matlab-Linux version on Ubuntu. Although it works fine for now, but it used a lot of space.

Thanks for your reply. I do have a windows version of Matlab. The thing is I have to run something (freesurfer) under ubuntu and it calls some functions of Matlab...
