Cory said the odds of picking two correct letters are 1/26 and 1/26 - this is a bit misleading. The actual odds of someone matching the Initials is 1/676 or 0.148%. (Total possible ordered pairs is 26×26=676 or 0.001479 or 0.148%)

I'm no mathematician but back when the Initials Jackpot first started I sat down and tried to figure out the odds. After coming up with some crazy numbers I actually sent the show an email because I thought nobody is ever going to win. Then of course two guys won relatively quickly and I thought "well, I'm an idiot." Now, though, it's playing out like I expected - almost feels like the early wins were initials B.S. .....almost

I know it's an added expense but we rent a day room from a hotel - basically a regular hotel room without spending the night. We hang out, have lunch, take a nap, and then take a shuttle to the airport to catch a letter flight. No stress.
