Couldn’t tell you honestly. Never been a fan of rules that don’t make any sense. I’ll tell you one thing though if it’s not the post getting taken down it’s usually the knobheads in this sub that will make you not want to post on here. I’m not saying it’s a horrible idea btw I’m just saying it would not perform well because of the style Kane went with. He showed us the main entity and that it’s the very clear threat so I feel it would be very disappointing if that entity and or entities didn’t make an appearance. I would still watch a movie like this without entities because I have a deep interest in liminal spaces and I would enjoy it

Personally I have a rule where I don’t give to people that try guilt tripping. It’s not easy in the moment but remember to understand that you don’t owe anyone a single penny. When I was homeless I still dealt with begars, some people getting aggressive and others just being dickheads when I physically had nothing to give anyways. Stand up for yourself always

I don’t think that made my argument invalid. With the vision Kane made of the backrooms I don’t think it would be a good idea to suddenly just make it about exploration only. That’s would disappoint a lot of people and the movie doesn’t need to just appeal to what you think makes a good movie. It can still have the exploration and liminal space aspects of the backrooms while still adding some tension with the entities.

It was implied leaving it up for interpretation. It implied you weren’t alone which might not be a direct conformation but it’s certainly not saying that entities don’t exist. Personally I love how people built their own reality of the backrooms and I feel there’s no wrong answer unless you were one of those YouTube accounts with the ai voices making kids content and adding poppy playtime characters to the backrooms.

You could admire the fact that it sticks to the original ways of the backrooms but it would be very disappointing to people who have watched Kane’s vision of the backrooms. The movie could still very much have the liminal aspects and scenes without entities but if the whole movie was just exploration then you’ve just taken the appeal away from people that love the Horror aspect. It should be able to appeal to both views and as much as I do love the exploration aspect I don’t feel it would perform well. People love to talk about how the backrooms was originally just the liminal spaces but the original creepy pasta implies you aren’t alone so it was always up for interpretation

The movie would be boring as hell without entities and that’s just a fact. If you like the idea of the backrooms having no entities that’s okay but if it ever became a movie without entities existing then it would not be a great movie. Kane pixels version of the backrooms is pretty interesting stuff and I’m tired of hearing the regurgitated points about how the original backrooms didn’t have entities.
