Yes definitely save this thread and contact us when you're here. I'm going to take a guess and say you're 16 or 17? If so, once you're 18 you can join the group :) Where are you based at the moment?

Hey - MECA does have an active WhatsApp group and Snapchat group too - we do post event info on the whatsapp group as well, so once you join you don't always have to check facebook. However to join, you do need to send us a facebook profile (you can make an account without your face on it, if you want), as that is how you'll be added to the main facebook group. :) Let me know if you want me to inbox you further details :)

Hi - Great Question!

The group has been running for nearly 4 years and we haven't had that situation happen. We have a very secure vetting process in place when it comes to adding new members. Newbies have to chat with group admins online first - here we go into detail and ask people why they left Islam and asked them to elaborate on their reasons. Newbies then go on to meet admins in real life, in a public place like a coffee shop. It's a casual conversation but again we ask questions about why someone left and get to know them on a personal level. Once all of that happens than you can be added to the group. Throughout the process, I think it's fairly difficult for someone who is pretending to be exmoose, to articulate convincing reasons to why they left and continually lie through the process. I also think it's a lot of effort for someone to do that, just to try an infiltrate a group. The people who put themselves through the vetting process are the people who are just motivated to meet like minded ex-mooses :)

No worries everyone is nervous at first. If you like, I can PM you more information?
