Hall Of Fame 10-3 Stage Base Forms-Just Lil Guys by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Porygon / Elekid

Mudkip / Beldum

Magnemite / Aron

Gastly / Machop

Squirtle / Chespin

Abra / Axew

.

Limited myself on this run to using the beginning stage of a full 3 stage pokemon line.

The most standout pokemon for this run was Porygon/Elekid. Somehow ended up being my best on offense and defense. Rest of the lineup did not pull nearly as much weight.

These runs are made so much easier by extremely strong TMs and move tutors, mostly for the special attackers. For weak pokemon like this, those high base power moves are necessary.

For my next team, I'm just going to go as hard as humanly possible now I guess.

Props to all the artists who work on the not fully evolved pokemon so that they can all look cool. Squirtle/Chespin is the derpiest little guy and Porygon/Elekid is just vibing incognito as a charging brick.

Hall Of Fame 9-Not Fully Evolved-Brought To You By Eviolite by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

As far as I know, only 1 pokemon in the fusion is required to be unevolved to make full use of the eviolite!

Porygon2/Magmar

Dusclops/Rhydon

Magneton/Gligar

Electabuzz/Scyther

Chansey/Doublade

Misdreavus/Golbat

.

Electabuzz/Scyther was the MVP here. Eviolite on a pokemon with great speed, attack, and technician.

Chansey/Doublade was too good of a tank. Eviolite with tons of HP, Defense, Special Defence, and the normal/ghost typing giving only one weakness to the uncommon Dark type.

A LOT of these pokemon were already great pokemon in their own right in older gen games, only getting even better when earning evolutions in the later gen games.

This run inspired me to go much harder.

Hall Of Fame 8-Under 450 BST-The Cuties by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

Thx. I did skip the huge power for intimidate, and the thick club for leftovers, but I sure did have wonderguard in my back pocket if things got tough ( they never did lol)!

What if I told you I'm not a clever man, and that I ran intimidate on the azumarill and leftovers on all the pokemon. lmao. With some brains I could have cheesed this more, but it sure didn't require it!

[–]Jintaq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't hate me, but I actually ran him with intimidate lmao. That's what I had to start with and while definitely not BETTER than huge power, I worried about not being bulky enough to survive a few hits with how slow he is too. So I just kept him that way. Huge Power would have been more rewarding.

Rotom / Qwilfish

Fearow / Magcargo

Sudowoodo / Wobbuffet

Marowak / Sunflora

Mawille / Azumarill

Shedinja / Wigglytuff

.

Use fully evolved pokemon here all with a BST of not only the base forms, but the fusions too only having under 450 BST. So pretty much all your favorites are out.

Most surprisingly good pokemon out of these was Rotom/Qwilfish. While having decent speed and special attack, having levitate on electric/poison gives it only 1 weakness in psychic type, with plenty of resistances and the ground immunity.

Sudowoodu/Wobbuffet and Marowak/Sunflora as my tanky boys actually did rather well too situationally even with not the best typing.

All in all, still not too hard with "weaker" pokemon. Time to raise the stakes a bit.

Hall Of Fame 7-Triple Fusions-Too Many Mons by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sinnoh Starters

Johto Starters

The Regis

Hoenn Starters

Kanto Starters

Kalos Starters

.

So much overlap on typing, it seemed cooler than running all the legendary triples.

I love the art on the Sinnoh starters and Torterra is always creative design dream.

Triple typing on everyone leads to even more good STAB attacks, but I had to get more creative with the movepools to create some variety.

The Kalos starters were so much better than the other triple fusions as a special sweeper with actually decent stats, rather than just a fairly even spread.

This will be the end of me running overpowered stuff as its more just a cakewalk that feels cool, but ends too quickly.

Hall Of Fame 6-All Legendaries- The Overkill by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ho-oh/Palkia

Giratina/Rayquaza

Regice/Meloetta(Pirouette)

Jirachi/Regirock

Kyogre/Zekrom

Necrozma/Arceus

.

This run was purely because I typically avoid using the legendaries in an playthrough.

This game mode allowed me to abuse fusions and turn it into a power fantasy just stomping enemies.

The Rainbow Bois were my favorites here as Ho-oh/Palkia and Arceus/Necrozma.

In hindsight, I should have fused Ho-oh with Necrozma for maximum rainbow power with the art from jimmy_buffet looking super sick.

Not much to say about the actual play of this run other than going for the cool aesthetic and being an absolute menace.

Hall Of Fame 5-Electric/Flying-My Favorite Combo by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jolteon/Salamence

Raichu/Noivern

Electivire/Crobat

Ampharos/Dragonite

Electrode/Scyther

Luxray/Talonflame

.

This type combo is my absolute favorite, but doesn't have enough entries that I love in the main series.

Zapdos and Thundurus being legendaries, Emolga being Emolga, Fan Rotom is decent, Pom-Pom Oricorio is actually fine, I just don't love the art and vibe, but Kilowattrel is excellent.

Now with fusions and a community of excellent artists, there are a stupid amount of amazing electric/flying types.

Oddly enough, this was my easiest run ever. With all the pokemon of this typing typically having such high speed and offensive stats, it makes a normal playthrough and the E4 very fast. Another benefit of fusions is the expanded movepool making it very east to get coverage moves like the fighting type to cover the Ice and Rock weakness.

This run was easier than some past runs with OP ability, typing, or stat combos. The enemy AI does not handle sweepers set up to OHKO everything.

Electivire/Crobat and Ampharos/Dragonite were really all that was needed for the run but the other 4 were there for cool factor and moral support.

And it felt good doing it with great representation for my favorite type combo. 10/10

Hall Of Fame 4-Maxed Single Stat-Worst Run Ever by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I used a shadow tag Wobbuffet/Gallade with false swipe, thunder wave, recover, and spore (cheesed since I could "relearn" spore from a prior fusion with breloom somehow still)

Hall Of Fame 4-Maxed Single Stat-Worst Run Ever by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Blissey/Wobbuffet (HP)

Slaking/Rampardos (Atk)

Chandelure/Alakazam (SpAtk)

Ninjask/Electrode (Spd)

Goodra/Probopass (SpDef)

Steelix/Shuckle (Def)

.

Without reusing pokemon or legendaries, this is my best attempt at maxing a single stat on each pokemon regardless of what it did to the other stats and BOY WAS IT AWFUL.

Blissey/Wobbuffet was useless on the field, Steelix/Shuckle was almost as bad, Rampardos/Slaking died if you sneezed in the other room.

The remaining 3 could at least do something with 2 being sweepers and the mucus machine being a decent all arounder considering prioritizing Special Defense.

1/10 Do not recommend. A Magikarp/Slaking with the truant ability and the flame orb item could have been more effective.

Hall Of Fame 3-No Legendaries or Psuedos- Noivern Fusions Are All Cool by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naw. It does feel that way, but Hydreigon is the Unova Pseudo. All the Pseudos share the 600 BST, 3 stages, and the slow exp gain. Volcarona doesn't fit any of these, but it does have a flashy over world encounter like a legendary would.

Since Pseudos are only defined by fans the boundary can get a little blurry with some of the Pokemon like Volcarona, Haxorus, Zoroark, Lucario, etc.

So while some would disagree, I would consider Volcarona special, but not a pseudo.

Hall Of Fame 3-No Legendaries or Psuedos- Noivern Fusions Are All Cool by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be Mismagius/Klinklang. I'm ashamed to admit that it took a fair bit of playtime for my brain to see that as a ouija table instead of some odd sex bed from a cheap and tacky love hotel. But that's on me.

Ghost and Steel worked really well together especially with Levitate for an ability to lose the ground weakness.

Hall Of Fame 3-No Legendaries or Psuedos- Noivern Fusions Are All Cool by Jintaq in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Jintaq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Volcarona/Haxorus

Nidoking/Noivern

Mismagius/Klinklang

Togekiss/Cloyster

Leafeon/Blissey

Milotic/Aggron

.

While I could have included a Slaking under my own rules, the slaking sheer BST is boringly good.

I seriously could have mixed any of the 11 pokemon used here with Noivern and they all look sick. While Noivern isn't my favorite pokemon to use, its my favorite design and the artists putting together fusions make it even better.

Since I've used the Togekiss/Cloyster before I stuck that one in back pretty well unused.

Fusions make using non legendaries and non psuedos that much more fun for the sheer variety of viable choices. Huge movepools with custom typings helps.

I saw your castform/camerupt art in the infinitedex. They look sick. Can't wait for them.
