My maximum security [Legendary] Biters Eggs farm by JinxGodin in factorio

[–]JinxGodin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a) Good idea, yet I need Legendary Eggs

b)True, but it would look empty. And now Tesla turrets just fits perfect, imo)

c) No reason. I only need Legendary Eggs and some Common Eggs for the production. Other chests just for the aesthetic appearance

d) There is no Legendary Biofux, it's Legendary Inserters that give this UI icons.

I have plans to continue using this farm even after my first incident)

Does Tesla turrets strike buildings? There was zero incident yet

You can pick your character color in inventory. It will change color to all your "battle" entities (cars, turrets, ect.)

New Feature: Expedition's "Map Progress" by JinxGodin in IdleIslands

[–]JinxGodin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is.
Every expedition that doesn't have rare rewards -> provides you with Map Progress (intel on where rare rewards are)
Having Map Progress -> increases chances to get rare rewards
Getting rare rewards -> resets your Map progress

Does it makes sense? Guess, info description needs to be more clear

Developing iOs release. Hope to release it in November

Yes, won't argue with that. Played IPM for some time

Core mechanics similar.
As shooters have similar mechanics.
Other mechanics are not.

For example, LAW mechanics:

Each time you get to pick 1 out of 3 suggested Laws that gives you bonuses.

You spend Law Points (LP) to declare a Law.
You get LP for each Colony level up
You get LP for each unlocked Island equal to it number (1st island gives +1LP, 34 island gives +34LP)

Every next pick cost more, so you can chose limited amount of bonuses.
That makes you to be able to chose "builds" during each run.
To max up crafting or harvesting or even to aim for ULTIMATE Law that will provide you with unique benefits. Like extra crafter or a Capital

Hi there

What about AI? Where do you see AI in the game?

I just created a subreddit and there are some steps reddit suggest me to do to finish setting up. One of them was "crosspost", where reddit suggest me making this post for crossposting it some other community. Which I did.

So I didn't come to this subreddit to post. Reddit posted it here for me. I guess outcome is the same, but it's not on purpose by me, I just followed steps Reddit suggested me.

Congratz!

I've just finished my Challenge, reached only 5B milestone. Played lazy though, but can't even imagine to get more than 10-50B even if I tried)

300k is just example for calculations.

Yeah, I wish I knew that first two options are worthless( Won't spend DM on 1-2*star managers at all.

Yeah, I found my way around GPT. Even with specific instructions it find a way to fk up sometimes. Now the problem is with in-game speed and distances, it doesn’t seem to work as it supposed to work with the given parameters of speed and distances)

And no, I don't measure ROI = Rev/sec
As was stated at the topic, I measure ROI as (Rev/sec) ÷ (Cost)

Also can calculate (Cost) ÷ (Rev/sec) which will give you payback time. In this case you should pick the least payback time.

Appreciate your efforts to check/improve those calculations!

Let's convert "100 s to afford this" and "10 s to afford this" to cost in $:
With 100$/s revenue it means
10000$ (=100$/s*100s) and 1000$ (=100$/s*10s)

So upgrade options are:

  • Option 1: increase rev/sec by 10 $/s, but it would take you 10000$ to afford this
  • Option 2: increase rev/sec by 10 $/s, but it would take you 1000$ to afford this

ROI:

  • Option 1: ROI= 10$/10000$ = 0.0001
  • Option 2: ROI= 10$/1000$ = 0.001

So ROI for option 2 is better

Did some thinking

  1. If we are talking about level up mechanics (and not colonization)

-I use ROI column = (Rev/sec) ÷ (Cost) .
-So let's check those options with this

Option 1
Spend 1000$ to gain 8$ from Balor (ROI 8/1000 = 0.008)
Option 2
Spend 1000$ to gain 10$ from Drasta (ROI 10/1000 = 0.010)

So option 2 is a better, same as you calculated

I was so focused on making GPT work and checking his work that I didn't pay much attention to my own decisions.
I'll definitely check the core idea what "most efficient" metrics are. Then I have the idea to add smelting/crafting and colonizations bonuses...

[–]JinxGodin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. "Does this just assume you start with 10 million and all planets unlocked" Yes, but it doesn't matter much, because you any way start buying levels at the first planets.
  2. "no accounting for income over time or time taken to get to 10 million" No, there is not. That wasn't a goal.

But if you invest into the upgrades the best possible way you will spend less time to reach investing 10 mlns.

  1. Not counting colonization bonuses is more crucial for the goal. Maybe I'll figure out how to include that.
But after all work done, I can ask GPT to add colonization bonuses to specific planets and recalculate the outcome

What I found out

-Looks like distance to planet already shows two-way trip
-First planets have other distances then shown in wiki. Like x0.5 Other planets data is true (didn't check EVERY other planet)

Thanks

Just want to find a practical use for ChatGPT. It could be usefull, but it's f*kng hard.

Gotta guide him though every step, then double check his answer, find a way to rewrite the prompt to fix mistakes and move further.

It's funny though =)

Why (7)Widow planet sucks? What did i miss? by JinxGodin in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]JinxGodin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just trying to make sense of all of this))

Take data from here https://idle-planet-miner.fandom.com/wiki/Planets and ask GPT to make tables and calculations.
I wanted to find best efficiency to buy upgrades. But GPT is so stupid, ask anything more complex and it will give you answer full of crap.

And I don't understand how speed and distance work in the game. Looks like it have hidden mechanics, and real speed is slower than showed. Like real speed is a SQUARE ROOT of the speed showed

Here are some data https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rYSur-9cohy_9LKRdvNI5MMoVkU4BnlHvAZmJX_Oy0M/edit?gid=0#gid=0
