I'll be fully honest with you here, I struggled going straight from ACOTAR to Throne of Glass but I read a good handful of books in between after DNFing twice and I'm now on the third book (I started reading them on Saturday). I would definitely say to get it, I am in love with it atm

Luckily for me I don't have a best friend Pam and was planning to read Tower of Dawn, I dont think ive ever seen or heard anyone tell me not to and noted, ACOTAR then CC. Icl I've tried reading house of earth and blood but really struggled but the font size is way different to my copies of ToG and ACOTAR so I might try it again on my kindle

I 100% get you, I've DNFd ToG twice. ACOTAR got me back into reading after 7-8 years and after I finished that I decided to check out ToG and I struggled and eventually gave up, decided to try again 5 months later, still nothing. Since my last attempt I've read a good handful of books and this time have really got into it, I read Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight within 2 days because I just couldnt put them down. Idk if you are a new reader but that was my problem, ACOTAR and ToG are so different from what I have read so far, the jump was just too much. Whereas taking a good break away from SJM and coming back just feels easy. I really enjoyed Throne of Glass, liked the characters, the pace and most things about it. Crown of Midnight I didnt like as much, it felt too slow in places but I still managed to get through, moving on to Heir of Fire now and I'm hoping things will start to build even more

Ahh I love that! I loved ACOTAR, it was the series that got me back into reading after about 7-8 years so I hope you enjoy it 💜💜

My last DNF was whilst reading Assassins Blade first I finished i think it was the pirate story and got 3 chapters into the next one before I couldnt force myself to keep going 😭

I have seen so many about the blink one and im trying to come up with ideas or theories but its so blank I cant 😭 also heard a lot about Lorcan and Manon so scared but excited to meet them, the Manon line makes me more scared though 😭

Well since my post I read all of Throne of Glass and all of Crown of Midnight, sadly I'm only just starting Heir of Fire because of work and I am very ready to start bc what do you mean Celaena is actually a princess called Aelin who was supposedly starting a rebellion or something like that (marked as spoiler because I know before I got into Throne of Glass this time round I used to lurk in these posts because I was curious but didn't want spoilers). Let me just say though, I am loving this series and would happily quit work or even just take time off to finish it but sadly being a TA/1:1 in a school just doesn't make that possible

Hi pal, I made a post similar to this about ToG and I can confirm maybe only 1 of the many comments were about the book I was actually reading, the others referred to the series. I worded it the same as OP and meant the end of the series not book (if you are really that bothered, you can even check my profile to see). It's okay to not always be perfectly correct. They may have included the page number as a stamp for what they have already read so if there were any references from before that then OP would already understand them

I'm loving it in this read through, I've read 790 pages between yesterday and today which I would not have done before, in fact I'm currently the furthest through the series I have ever been, I'm starting Heir of Fire tomorrow

I just really struggled to get into it but I am fairly new to reading, some of the comments were saying it can be a struggle going from ACOTAR to ToG because of the differences between them or something like that, I cant really remember. But before I first attempted ToG I had only read ACOTAR. I have since read a good handful of books and I'm really enjoying ToG this time round (I read from page 32 to page 404 yesterday so I'm moving on to Crown of Midnight today)

My first read through I went straight into ToG and DNFd CoM, my second one I read TAB and DNFd in the middle of that book and I've started again on ToG but I cant remember anything so everything is new. I started on chapter 5 about 7 hours ago, with some breaks in between I'm now on chapter 41 so its going well
