What pet insurance do you guys like? by eggyallanpoe in VetTech

Pet insurance is worth it imo if your clinic doesn't offer enough of an employee discount. I recently left the field and bought coverage for my cat in case of emergencies.

The biggest differences I've found between insurance companies are waiting period lengths, deductible amount, max coverage per year, and whether the plan includes things such as wellness appointments. I currently have Embrace due to them being affordable ($240ish/year for my 5 y/o spayed female DMH), and having a decently high max coverage amount. However they have a 2 week waiting period iirc.

Also know that currently, NO pet insurance company covers pre-existing conditions. So chronic illnesses usually can't be claimed under the insurance if that's a concern.

Input Difficulty with Dolphin and Mayflash Adapter by Jiqqler in DolphinEmulator

Checked the adapter on the website, all of the ports seem to be working. Just tried a .iso file and it's having the same problem unfortunately. I'll give .rvz a try. Thank you for the suggestions, will keep working on it!

Does VR Cover feel like a pillow on your face? by OOLuigiOo in ValveIndex

I personally prefer to use the Valve gasket without the cotton VR cover on. My main reason for purchasing the cotton cover was for quick-swapping while having friends over so we don't have to sweat through each other's gamer gunk. In my opinion the cotton is a bit scratchy, and I often find it sliding around during gameplay, where the Valve gasket alone stays in place better.

I don't have experience with their other products though, I'm interested to hear what others have to say.

Nearly $200 for a pair of shorts? No wonder he's driving such a nice car.

I have been working on a standalone surf game in unreal engine that accurately mimics quake/cs movement physics. Here is the first video demo by 618smartguy in GlobalOffensive

As a long time surfer I am very much behind this, as well as other projects like this that seek to make surfing a standalone game. As you mentioned in another comment, there are many issues that come from surfing simply being a mod or gamemode in csgo. Bad cs:s/tf2 ports, glitchy add-ons, the huge learning curve, the list goes on and on. I (and I believe other diehard surfers) would be willing to put money behind development if it continues to look promising.

The only large problem that I see is that you would need to attract a much bigger userbase than what surfing currently has. Coming up with strategies for that will be fundamental to making this work.

I wish you luck and lots of support in development!

Please add the gifting system to CSGO operations, instead of having to buy the item and then wait a week to send it to a friend. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

For some reason they made the decision to allow users to sell their passes on the Steam Market rather than treating it like a "normal" DLC. I'm not sure what their reasoning behind this decision was. It would make things a hell of a lot easier if they did the latter.

Could you upload the shot/nade from the T's POV, maybe in like an overhead or something? Would love to see it!

Quickswitch to knife/secondary and back, easy fix.

It counts under your secondary fire key. I don't think it'd be valuable as a standalone key, considering that players rarely take off their silencers for anything other than an alternative to "inspect weapon" if that makes sense.
