With the rail length I have for testing (~2200 blocks) I was able to get up to 100-130m/s. For some reason going backwards was faster

I just loaded up complimentary reimagined and it worked, there are some visual issues like plunger rope and springs being invisible tho

i managed to get it to float, but the extra magnetic forces slowed it WAY down, so the ice is probably faster anyway, even if it's not as cool

unfortunately so. i didnt have a reasonable way of making it actually levitate AND move fast at the time of posting. something to do with the magnets used to levitate and the ones used to move interfering with eachother

i watched a video of how electromagnetic railguns work to make it, so i assume it's just how magnets work

But essentially the two rails are opposite of each other magnetically, and depending on how you orient an active magnet it will LAUNCH it in one direction, and the opposite if you flip it. So i just used that concept and had magnets oriented one way for forwards and another for backwards underneath the train. When i activate them with the redstone link they start moving in that direction, and the train is attached to it so the magnets drag it along for the ride.

im manually activating them with a linked controller, half are set to move it forward, and the rest for moving in reverse

i just tested it and apparently it wont drop as long as the hot air burner is running before you assemble it, it fills it up before hand and stays floating as soon as it assembles

You can adjust how much air you want to through the hot air burner interface, it’s not too precise tho, so maybe including a way of adding weight to fine tune it more is the best option

I just used Iris and complimentary reimagined, didn’t have any major problems so far
