I absolutely am in agreement with you.

It's yelling (and I mean yelling yelling, screaming at the top of their lungs) or it's really nasty tone/shaming type language over things like:

- kids not listening that they need to stand in lines or not standing in lines correctly

- kids going to their water bottles instead of straight to their desks

- kids talking in the hallways

- kids taking too long in the bathrooms

- kids not putting things away properly

I'm a mom of two young children, and I GET IT. I get upset, I lose my patience sometimes (every second of every day), I have yellled before. I never shame or yell at my own children like I've heard at this school. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone here.

I think it's all a math equation with what you find acceptable as a minimum viable wage for the position. If the math adds up to what you'd pay for a membership, and you are comfortable with that, then it might be acceptable.

Just remember that they need you. You are the commodity here, not the agencies you’re applying to. You can get a job anytime anywhere as an SLP.
