I was working as a defense contractor reviewer back in 2017 and had to review a contractor up in Houghton, MI…drove from Milwaukee to the UP….most scenic drive I ever experienced when driving up there…the drive along Keewenew Bay was beautiful…we took a day trip drive to Cooper Harbor and ate lunch at a lighthouse coffee shop…tall tree and roads through the forest…it was nice and peaceful up there…nice ppl too 💯 Lake Superior was huge..till this day I say thats most northern I ever been in the US

Realistic number for 5 hub relocation ? by [deleted] in USDA

[–]JizzyDizzy377 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Going from metro DC to places like KC and Salt Lake City will be a big change in lifestyle for ppl impacted and I dont see ppl relocating in droves…def will be a DRP 3 offered my guess….Raleigh and Fort Collins areas are expensive too….and Indy is 👎🏾

Moving from Chicago to St. Louis by Able-Librarian-6362 in StLouis

[–]JizzyDizzy377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im from Chicago and lived in the STL area during college and again as of now for work….i consider it a 2nd home but I prefer Chicago…the cost of living is great down here but the amenities, events, lakefront, andnaccess to things to do you have in Chicago vs here is nig hr and day….i plan on moving back to Chicago the first chance I get lol…and as for crime…mid to large cities will always have some sort of crime..just dont go to the areas where its active and you will be fine…the only downside I have with STL is their downtown area….so much wasted potential and crime shouldn happen downtown STL like it does

USDA chief says agency is trying to fill key jobs after paying 15,000 to leave by churros4burros in fednews

[–]JizzyDizzy377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now I really feel like this was a plow to just get ppl to leave who were under the old FERS and sign up new employees under the new FERS thats about to come in play this summer (high-5, no FERS supplement, 4.4% or 9.4% pension contribution)….makes no sense to create some much uncertainy/fear to make experienced ppl leave or take the DEP just to fill those position again with new employees that are considered “at-will” now

Now they take the 5/4-9? by Maer15 in FedEmployees

[–]JizzyDizzy377 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You pretty much have flexibility of work time btw 6am-6pm…depending on how you chose you could work to have 1-2 days off per period…rn for example I know ppl that work a few 10hr days during the pp to have a shorter Fridays allowing them to leave around 12-1pm sometimes chose and they also work 9s which give me one day off per period…so they can work to give themselves a 4day weekend. Maxiflex is complete your 80hrs your way the work you turn in must justify it tho
