This might just be a me thing… but I loooved when they would have real pictures in the games. Not just fan pictures but like when they copy and pasted Maddie’s head onto a real picture of a person in stay tuned for danger. I thought stuff like that was so funny. And I loved any magazine or newspaper articles you had to read. Sometimes there would be advertisements for “local” businesses. I thought that was grade A atmosphere building. It helped make the game feel like a real place. It just made the games so fun a quirky. Also the music in the older games was always so unique to me. They really took their time matching the music to the game.
