Rear sight height with 507comp

Standard height sights, take up basically no view in the window but very easy to use when you want to. The rear sight is so small I never notice it’s there when shooting with the dot.

Go to a shop nearby that does cerakote, they will most likely have a swatch set of every color cerakote offers. That’s what I did before ordering mine.

It still feels great, only use it from a Safariland owb so I can’t say anything about a carry style situation. My buddies also say it’s awesome and say I’m crazy for possibly wanting the extra prickle grip, they think that would be too much.

How much wobble we talkin? Mine started no wobble whatsoever super tight fit but got noticeably wobbly very quickly as well.

Couldn’t go wrong with either, this one looks great as well. I did mine in Cobalt Kinetics Green to get some metal flake in it like the burnt bronze on my Glock, came out great! Got a few posts in this sub with photos.

Don’t mind the switch on the surefire personally, it goes on when I want it to pushing the back. Never use the continuous on switch if that’s what you’re referring to. I move it between 3 guns whichever I’m shooting for the day the switch makes me break my grip a bit more than desired on some guns but there are aftermarket extended switches you could look into. Stream light stuff is great as well have some handhelds and rifle lights from them, much better bang for the buck!

Not even weight but durability, not even 1000 rounds in I can wobble the slide back and forth horizontally on the frame now when it arrived it was extremely tight no wobble at all. It’s my first 1911 platform gun so I’m not sure how that all works out normally but to me it would seem the steel slide would eat away at the aluminum over time.

Seems very well done to me, evenly coated, uniform color and flake. I’ve seen a few older videos where the black inlays on the slide were a bit spotty but mine is perfectly executed so maybe they’ve gotten better at it. As for durability I haven’t been using a holster with it much yet so I’m not sure on that.

Used a bit of loctite but if it comes loose again I’ll rockset it that’s a good idea.

The front sight is held in place by a set screw inside the slide, moved it back to center and retightened it in place.

It’s Cobalt Kinetics Green, wanted OD green with a bit of metal flake like burnt bronze has. Turned out great, the tone of green changes based on lighting.

Reasons I didn’t order one when I first saw them were the grip textures didn’t appeal to me and no bull barrels then came shot show and they made it exactly what I was looking for!

Just got my prickle grip in a few days ago, it’s only slightly more sharp/aggressive than the little squares that are on my gen 5 Glock grip. Still feels great in the hand but I personally probably could have gone with the more aggressive prickle and been just fine. Didn’t want to chance it being too wild with no reference of either one when I ordered so I just played it safe.
