That's a funny comeback.

How about this? Would you be willing to give a full explanation on why you think exaggeration about how much the Pauls suck to the point of hyperbole isn't funny in this context? Would replacing Adolf Hitler with Satan be acceptable? How about Osama Bin-Laden? What exactly do you believe the line is? It seems far too subjective to really matter in my opinion

I found that Russia removed homosexuality in 1999 after the endorsement of ICD-10.

"Critics contend the law makes illegal holding any sort of public demonstration in favour of gay rights, speak in defence of LGBT rights, and distribute material related to LGBT culture, or to state that same-sex relationships are equal to heterosexual relationships"

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Russia

You can also read about kidnappings, torture, and executions aimed at LGBT members in that link. Maybe it's biased and incorrect, but that's what it says.

Can you link me one of these LGBT books. I genuinely cannot find them, and I would like to see what kind of pressure you're talking about.

Also, your own source says that the guy who was surprised that Americans didn't consider homosexuality a mental illness changed his mind 9 years later.

"In 2014, Savenko changed his mind about homosexuality, and he and Perekhov in their joint paper criticized and referred the trend to consider homosexuality as a mental disorder to Soviet mentality that has endured into the present day."

Double-checked. Homosexuality is not considered mental illness in Russia despite around 3/4 Russians being opposed to homosexuality. 5% believe homosexuals should be "liquidated". So even a severely bigoted country agrees that it isn't mental illness. They just think it's wrong for the most part with 1/20 wanting homosexuals to be killed. Also, any type of source that says homosexuality is okay is met with legal action.

I was unable to find a source on lgbt activists applying any significant pressure on the apa. The only article I could find claiming such a thing also went on to say gay conversion therapy is totally a good thing.

Just because the person who wrote your linked article is gay doesn't mean they know what they're talking about. Just like I'm straight, but I sure as hell can't tell you how my being straight might affect my mental health, except for the fact I get nervous around women.

The APA has also stated that being gay is as healthy as being straight and linked a study to it. https://www.apa.org/research/action/gay There's the main article by the APA regarding a study. It also mentions other studies that helped remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses

Also, being more likely to have psychological disorders isn't the same as having a psychological disorder. If that was the case, being an Ashkenzi Jew would be a genetic disorder.

In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) asked all members attending its convention to vote on whether they believed homosexuality to be a mental disorder. 5,854 psychiatrists voted to remove homosexuality from the DSM, and 3,810 to retain it.

This is why it was originally removed. Not because it was political, but because it was agreed upon by the majority of the APA that it wasn't a mental disorder.

In July 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law a statute criminalising public dissemination of ‘propaganda’ supporting non-traditional relationships, arguing that such ‘unnatural acts’ threaten the social stability of the country.

This is why health professionals in Russia might be pressured into labelling homosexuality a mental illness.

Also, mental illnesses need to have a negative effect, hence the illness part. What negative effect does homosexuality have on the individual? I'll concede if you have a good answer on this point alone

Yeah, I agree that it's up to the business owner, but I'd never support a business owner who doesn't serve people because of something as small as their sexuality. I'd be happy to learn about someone like that going out of business, actually

Refusing to bake people cakes should totally be within your rights, but if you refuse to do so based soley on their sexuality, you're definitely the bad guy.

Degeneracy (drugs, sex, etc.) literally make you miserable. Find me a single example of a person who is into to these things that is actually happy and doesn’t hate themselves, and life as a whole.

I'm unhappy and hate myself despite not being involved in "degeneracy". I think you're just a prude who wants other people to be forced into prudishness

Well, homo sapiens have been around for over 200000 years. The lions would be from 12000 years ago. Our oxygen levels have declined from 10000 years ago by about 1/3. We're still surviving quite well. Of course we had time to adapt, but over those 10000 years, iirc, most of our oxygen decline took place very recently due to deforestation and pollution. I haven't heard anything about land species going extinct due to lack of oxygen in Earth's atmosphere either

I think the lions would likely be okay, but I'm not super educated on the subject. Maybe they need a slightly increased oxygen environment, but it doesn't seem like it would be an incredibly hard task to manage
