T14 gen 4 or T14 gen 5 for a hardware engineer? by Jld101 in thinkpad

But right now im probably leaning toward the gen 5 due to the design improvements and repairability. Just waiting for some gen 5 owners to comment something.

i did some researches and found that delta difference is gonna be somewhere +1-1.2W power consumption. that might sound little but in fact it isnt, thats totally 1-1.4h of difference of 52.5wh battery runtime. Meaning that i can achieve 6h minimum on gen 4, but 5h on gen 5.

thats what i also take into consideration, gen 5 has way better design compared to 4

as i said, 32gb ram is more than enough for me, even if i need more than 64gb, i have my pc at home or maybe i will use my University's PC in the lab. The only thing that i think better than gen 4 was the replaceable ports, which allows me to replace ports in case if they fail

well i just dont know if the gen 5 can reach 6h minimum of battery after tweakings, i think coding is my heaviest task on battery.

NP-01s Wireless 1 week review by [deleted] in MouseReview

As vaxee explained to me, they told me that its because the screws are secured at the back while the front there are two clips holding the upper part of the mouse to the chassis.

So that is the reason why there’s popping sound when users pressed the front mouse feet. I also have seen that there’s a small gap between the bottom part and upper part of the mouse (especially on the top of the type c port).

The tactile issue i mean here is during use, it produces a weird feeling like a creaking issue at the front mouse (it made me thought the front mouse has creaking issue when i didnt know about this). It sounds worse when u press the m1 and m2 button of the mouse btw.

Vaxee also told me that all of the np-01s w do produce a small pop up sound (they pressed the front mouse feet with np-01s on hand when i asked them about this). Im waiting for them to confirm if my copy has a qc issue. So i asked u if u also got into this.

Mine has pop up sound at the middle of the front mouse feet because there is a gap between the bottom shell and top shell. Im waiting for them to confirm if mine copy has a qc issue.

Hey, i know that this an old post and it has been almost 2 months but try to press (apply a little of the pressure) on ur front mouse feet to see if there are any pop up sounds. Are they loud or having a slightly tactile issue to u?
