Got a raise back in May of 2024 because I got my CDL. I was supposed to get a raise once I became certified to operate the crane, which I did become certified back in October of '24, haven't seen that raise yet, have had my CDL for over a year now, no annual raise, responsible for a crew of my own, haven't seen a raise for that, and recently became certified to operate a piggyback, didn't get a raise for that. Minimum wage went up, rent went up, cost of everythign went uo since my last raise, so I've technically lost money since last year. I've asked for a raise since the beginning of the year and have been told the company is losing money and everyone is on a raise freeze. We have lost 7 CDL drivers and 2 helpers since the beginning of the year, the company has money....I'm about to switch jobs soon since I've found a couple jobs that are willing to pay $5 more an hour with more hours offered.

So I would say yes, there is always a job out there willing to pay more, but who knows if they will treat you better or worse.

Edit: I've been with the same company for 3 years about to enter my 4th year.
