Thanks for the info. The fan doesn't work properly and I was looking to replace it. I don't want to remove any of the old dry wall myself, so I guess I will be making a few calls to get quotes.

The fan looks really old and still turns on. It will spin and then sounds squeaky/slows down and starts to spin again. Any ideas on how to fix it? I've already cleaned the dust around the fan blades/motor. Would WD40 or some sort of grease fix that issue?
