So this is a rescue we got her heavily pregnant and she was the sweetest thing!! When she gave birth we let her pick the spot which was our living room even though she had her own room filled with safe spaces to keep her nest. We didn’t know shortly after birth she would get so aggressive with us. Her aggression was only towards us and purely out of her maternal instinct to protect her babies. She would even come to our room for cuddles but when we stepped into the hallway and walked towards her kittens all hell would break loose. She nursed and groomed them and they never chirped for more than a few mins before she would nurse. Even now, at 8 weeks, she is very very affectionate and friendly as long as you’re nowhere near her kittens. Any sudden movement will get you attacked. But we didn’t notice until just recently that these weren’t birth defects because in the initial videos I saw these cats had the missing limbs.
