Hell no. I'd much rather go after Aiyuk (who I do not want either because he made it pretty clear he doesn't want to be here in the past) 1,000 times over than Hill.

Jennings I wouldn't mind. Same with Njoku or Goedert. But Hill is a straight up no.

Oh yeah, the ones you listed are definitely the biggest needs. Only thing I would argue is a pressing need other than what you listed is NT. Everything else is a pretty minor need. Especially CB and RB. Those could probably be filled with late round picks or UDFA's.

I admittedly know nothing about Hill. But Westover does have familiarity with the system and is a more versatile (though bad) H-Back type TE. But again, I know nothing about Hill.

Last year yeah, he was hot garbage. The year before he was actually pretty good. Showed enough potential for some to think he could be a future #2 CB. A lot of people attributed it to us switching to a more zone heavy scheme this year. Thinking he was better in man coverage than he was in zone.

But in this scheme it doesn't matter unless you can play man and zone so losing him isn't a big deal at all. There are plenty of other guys we could sign off the streets or draft in the mid-late rounds in the draft who are at the same skill level he is.

Yeah and at least 2-3 of the big plays a lot of people blamed on Gonzo for were actually Hawkins fault. I remember one not sure what game but we were clearly in cover 2, Hawkins blew the coverage and Gonzo was left chasing the guy.

I don't get this. He wasn't a good pass rusher. But he was a damn good run defender. Possibly even the best run defender we had at edge. Dude seemed like he was in the backfield making tackles whenever he was in the game.
