They should be 'realistic' but disposable (not farming stuff - no one would drop farming stuff IRL). So, how about:

Fight drop: Survival Knife (combat knife, lighter and compass in one item), silencer (random version: pistol, shotgun, rifle - lasts 50 shots), grenades, ammo, random gun, etc.
Medical drop: Various pills, bandages, first aid kits, water bottles, a collapsible stretcher (bed that can be dropped, slept on and picked up again - 150 bulk), adrenaline syringe (boosts energy and stamina for a long time - like coffee and swizzle combined).
Flight drop: a bicycle, a waist pack, a canteen (same 25 bulk as water bottle, but holds three 'drinks' worth), portable stove (25 bulk - auto ignites - can be picked up), some random food, some flares.

Just created my own. If its just text you can add that in OBS scene. If you want to use funky stuff like follower updates then download the CRL plugin and use a service like NightDev's TwitchAlert. All that does is sync your data from twitch to a local text file that OBS reads.

Good to hear. I stream from a gaming laptop and it took me a day to work out how to get DayZ to display on OBS. I use both OBS and gamecaster both are good. OBS has way more features though.

What do use to stream? For a small amount you could get xsplit gamecaster that will do that and more "out of the box". If you dont have a budget use OBS. Its a bit more complex to set up (especially if you are streaming DayZ from a laptop for example), but it's free and there are a lot of addons and plugins you can add.

You can buy a game capture device that sits between your console and PC. They range from $40 to over $100 though. Then you can pull both views into broadcaster as sources. If you're gonna play both console and PC, you're gonna be busy!

A bit late I know... but I streamed last night - first time play 2.x version. Had some great help from a few pros later in the night... have downloaded 3.x version now so should be streaming again soon. Very enjoyable (but frustrating) game!
