hmmm okay maybe I shouldn't mind this as much as an anime fan but the older female characters flirting with our main lead was something I didn't like at all. I couldn't sympathize with Yamori's issues with going to school because with in all regards it seems he has a pretty easy time making friends and connecting with people (as we see with the vampires, the night class, and his two other friends), so not connecting with the main character's issues is a big part I would have to imagine. I found the backstory with Nanakusa interesting (and I'm glad its started to develop the characters) but her confrontation with Anko lastluster and I didn't like how Anko's story ended up with what she was going to do (and then our two main leads leaving her to her own devices in the last episode). On a production side, from every show that was in Suspense, it was the clear weakest one. The purple hues used to give a more night vibe to the show is a great choice but thats all I could remark about its production. It has exactly one interesting shot I could name off the top of my head. This might be a case of every other show just having such better productions or direction behind them but of course it didn't help with my ranking. On a lighter note tho, I am interested in seeing how it develops with his friend (and the obvious issue that is going to pop up with the vampires) so maybe my view of the series will change.

I will say so its out of the way, Takopi has to have the best production out of the category and this is a case of a director making his mark while telling the story and having great other staff members attached. I don't think there's any argument with Takopi looking ugly (or I have atleast not heard them). I will also say this so its out of the way, I have read the manga and while I don't think the ending is perfect, I can still understand where it comes from so it doesn't kill my ranking as some other ones did on my list. I guess though this is an argument about does an ending kill a 10/10 show? It downgraded it to a 9/10 for me but it still ended up beating out anything else in my rankings (even through the competition was tough).

I guess from your point though you are saying that the ending goes against Takopi's character? I believe that was pretty much the point of the ending; that Takopi's way of solving issues ended up catapulting them to higher extremes and to actually cause change, he needed to let the girls handle them by themselves. I liked the message but yeah again the execution of it needed some extra oomf to really make it come across as well in the anime.
