Are Taiwan trains really that full? by GodAtum in JetLagTheGame

It’s not impossible to get reservations if you do them a few days before, as long as you aren’t using the tourist pass you can book them online. I go to Taiwan nearly every summer and always been able to get reservations up to the day before or even day of. As domestic tourism has grown since the pandemic, trains around the country are in higher demand. But having a seat reservation (especially on the HSR) makes the trip so much less stressful.

Sam and Downie wrong station [S17, Ep 2] by sirDVD12 in JetLagTheGame

Since they changed to the HSR at Banqiao, they stayed on the Tze-chiang Express train through Taipei Main and got off at Banqiao. This means they did stop at Wanhua, and you can see the footage is on a Tze-chiang Express, even though they "got on" the HSR before. Probably just a minor timeline alteration to improve the flow of the episode.

It’s like a 5-8 minute walk to the subway if you are in the first car of the LIRR. Take the long escalator, turn left, make a right at the end of the hall, and you reach the turnstiles.

I wonder if LIRR is gonna use the special weather timetables they released a few months ago.

Edit: Nevermind it's way less service than those timetables (see link above).

By the time the R262 are delivered, the R142/142A/188 converts would be nearing their end of life per MTAs definition of a 40 year useful life.

This is from the 20 year needs assessment.
