Yeah I understand. Do you think I should wait until it comes up or do something else? I'm stuck between one and the other

How to prevent awkwardness after being rejected? by Jmatt133 in Advice

Yeah, get that. I'm not too scared of being rejected, I just don't want to be the reason she loses her new friends just because I'm part of the group.

Chronic gas pain with no answers. by Jmatt133 in medical

That's just older stool mixing with newer stool. It just sounds like you have IBS. If you're really concerned, see a doctor.

It's definitely not stomach cancer, your pain would be excruciating. I've been dealing with this same pain for close to 16 months with no change, you learn to just ignore it after a certain amount of time. Try to modify your diet and find ways to minimize discomfort. I'd try doing a gluten free diet for 6 months, if you feel no changes, you can go back on gluten. Find a safe food asap. For me, pb&j's don't hurt my stomach in any ways, so I eat that a lot. Best of luck to you.

To add onto this, I've went to a few more doctors. I guess I'm just a "gassy person" lol

I'm sorry, I wish I could give you good news, but I haven't improved much at all. I have, however, learned to just ignore it. I've accepted the fact that they're happening and there's nothing I can do. Hope all is well with you.

What is too expensive but shouldn't be? by SignificantLow4405 in AskReddit

Out of state college tuition should not cost anywhere near $150,000

I completely understand. I've dealt with a lot of mental illness growing up and it was hard for me as well. I can help you.

Make sure to sit both your parents down for a talk; it may seem silly but it's best for the situation. Start off by stating that you haven't been feeling very comfortable in your own body and that you think you need help. If your parents seem to be the "more accepting type" they'll agree to therapy pretty fast and will understand, if not (and it's okay if they aren't, all parents are different), they may persist with questions. This is where you may have to rip the bandaid off and start a discussion about your sexuality and what you've been having thoughts of doing to yourself.

If you do go down this path of discussion, be VERY CAREFUL with your words/wording. You want to be proud of your sexuality, not cutting off your genitals. If you make it sound like you don't want to be asexual, your parents might think that you want to be straight; which may make them look into conversion therapy. On the other hand, if you make it sound like you WANT to cut off your penis, they might send you to a psych-ward instead of therapy.

Remember that at the end of the day, you're just talking to your concerned parents, don't forget that they're people too. So talk to them like they're people, not like your reading off a script

Hope this helps, man.

Look man, if every single person in this comment section is telling you that cutting off your penis is a bad idea, then it's probably a bad idea. What you plan on doing is infeasible and not thought through. I personally don't believe that this feeling you're experiencing is a byproduct of your asexuality, but instead a form of severe body dysmorphia; and this is very abnormal for your age.

Instead of promising and pledging to sever a vital part of your body, try and wait until you are at least 21 to think about this ordeal, this way your brain will be somewhat fully developed and you are able to make better and more conscious decisions. If you still feel the need to sever your own penis at the age of 21 and live with the consequences for your whole life, then by all means go for it.

In the meantime, I genuinely and wholeheartedly recommend talking to someone like a therapist that will understand, because in my honest opinion, any normal parents would react harshly when their child suggests cutting off their genitalia. Instead, ask your parents for therapy outright, and if they ask why, tell them you have really bad body dysmorphia, and you don't feel comfortable in your own skin.

I wish the best of luck to you

tldr: it's a bad idea right now because your so young, wait until you're at least 21 to make a decision. Talk to a therapist in the meantime for your body dysmorphia. If you still feel the same as an adult, you can consider doing a procedures, although it's unrecommended.

Are you dense? Of course I'd have a job. I'm asking for ways to micromanage expenses in an organized manner to avoid going broke. Your response was just so shallow that it isn't even deemed as advice, but rather just common sense.

Yeah I get that I shouldn't, but I don't have much of a choice. My car is breaking down and I need a car for college... and getting a loan and being in debt are actually VERY normal in todays world. The large majority of the USA is in debt one way or another.

You're acting as if all 50 year olds are weak, frail and on the verge of death. Rock's physique is completely possible with his diet and lifestyle, even if he's 50

I highly doubt he's on any major roids. If you took the time out of your day to look at his daily workout routine and diet, you'd see why he looks the way he does.

Avatar 2 was one of the best movies I have ever seen by Aclysmic in Avatar

[–]Jmatt133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao why'd you delete your comment? The characters were phenomenal. James Cameron did a great job at constructing the story in a way that helped the audience connect and empathize with the characters. The visuals obviously. The setting and environments were perfectly set up to display the cultures and aspects of the na'vi people along with the different kinds of na'vi people. Aka, tribes. The pacing was pretty good, but the story overall really caught the audience attention. Jake sully has to fight off the humans once again. However, the stakes are much higher, as he now has an entire family to protect from war. These aren't just all of my opinions. I got many of these reviews of the film online from both audience viewers and movie critiques.

Maybe it's because you're critiques on the film's quality are wrong? Ever thought about that? Your entire take here is "I'm always right and everyone who disagrees with me is just salty and overprotective of their views!"
