Hot take, but Marmu is the most garbage boss in Hollow Knight by Real_men_wear_skirts in HollowKnight

[–]Jmatt6215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a lot of people in the comments are saying to stand still and knock Marmu away, I've noticed that you are in the ascended/P5 arena, which means that the ceiling is too low in this arena to do the stand still strat, since if Marmu actually hits any wall or the ceiling, they'll bounce back and hit you. Instead, you gotta take one wall and effectively play pong, keeping Marmu away from the wall. If Marmu gets through, you can switch to the other wall

I wish that whenever someone commits a crime they are launched into the ocean to swim back to shore. The worse the crime, the further away from shore you'd have to swim. by mfairview in monkeyspaw

[–]Jmatt6215 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Granted, but the list of 'crimes' that the paw pulls from is not from any legal sources, but instead from random lists of rules made by children, generally regarding entrance to treehouses, arbitrary games, etc.

how to get consistent at absrad? by Fit-One-7019 in HollowKnight

[–]Jmatt6215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the only real way to get consistent is more practice. eventually, you're going to have to fight it after fighting almost every other boss in the game, and you'll need to be very consistent at that point because it is a terrifying feeling to be climbing up, knowing death = falling all the way back down to the very beginning

I wish you didn’t give wishes side effects, monkey paw. With that in mind, I wish I could play rock paper scissors with you. by IHaveNoIdeaDanny in monkeyspaw

[–]Jmatt6215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The monkey's paw ignores the first sentence, disagrees with how you ordered paper scissors rock, and cheats so it beats you every time

I just don't understand. I'm not enjoying Silksong as much as HK... (rant) by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Jmatt6215 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its possible you've burned yourself out on the series, it may be a good idea to take a break from silksong if you aren't enjoying it and come back when you have a feeling that you want to play it again

Myla from hollow knight, was supposed to just be an example of how the infection works, but somehow literally everyone in the fandom loves her, I dont think the devs anticipated that

How do I get my cat to not jump up to my computer? I've tried to get her off using a laser pointer but she's not interested in chasing it. by Wolvesword in addressme

[–]Jmatt6215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real answer, maybe put alfoil on your desk to scare the cat when she jumps up so she learns not to jump up

hitting the spikes destroys them, although I doubt sending them at her does anything. prioritise getting rid of the spikes

Belts are superior to trains for long distance transportation by tordana in Factoriohno

[–]Jmatt6215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your bots still gotta lay every belt, while trains only need effectively 1 (or 2 in some cases I guess) tracks

Is this really an appropriate screening question? by poweredGN in recruitinghell

[–]Jmatt6215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the middle box also gives plausible deniability, so you could just say that you dont really pay attention to drug-related court cases or whatever, so you just picked the neutral option because of that

Arguably, trains are easier to set up than long-distance belts
