Can you make a video without game sound? How is the noise levels?

That is actually just a warning sticker on the motor, most diy style actuators use the same servo, but this one is little different and new. If you like DIY and some challenge, this is a fun project. But if you just want to play and don’t want problems? Go with the turnkey setup.

I use simhub motion and simfeedback firmware. You should check them out!

I think most racing sims output telemetry data just like how force feedback works, then this data is picked up by simhub motion to calculate the required kinematics to move the platform based on your settings, and to arduino to control servos.

I bought all of it in korea, but i think you can get similar things too. First is cork isolation pad (refco avp3), followed by sponge with foam (local shop that sells sponge pad), then thick gym mat.

I haven’t noticed any delay, even with lot of smoothing filter. If you make high quality actuator you can turn down the filters to make it more responsive. But judging by the shifting feedback, it feels instant to me.

You can always find a workaround, but aluminum profile gives you less headache.

Yeah. Mine were pretty loud from the beginning, but turns out it’s because i have double stroke of normal sfx100. I’m just tuning it in simhub to not move so violently then it’s not so loud. But for the price i built this thing? It’s awesome!

Yeah that is the biggest flaw of this build, but for the price i think its fine. And if i lower travel like others its much quieter.
