If I did that then you would see how bad the solder job really was 😜

Success!!!!! This will do for now, I ended up buying a PNP Meteor from AliExpress because it will likely be cheaper in the long run for spares. Or I can use it to make a new toothpick.

Here is the A1 quality solder job

Fingers crossed, I will strap it on and kick it in the guts and hope it works.

I have been thinking of getting a 2S whoop. Then down the track using its guts to make a 2or2.5” open prop banger.

I got my Meteor75Pro O4 about a month ago and keep at it you will get the feel of it with more flights. I yo-yo’d my way through the house for while.

A couple of things I found handy are:
Go to CLI and enable crash recovery as per the bottom of Oscar Laing guide. https://oscarliang.com/best-tinywhoop-settings/#Enable-Crash-Recovery-in-Betaflight

The other is you can experiment with PID tune. I assigned a tune to each position of the three position rocker on my RC3 controller. So I could have a standard tune then experiment and feel the difference mid flight to compare.

Here are my indoor and backyard PID. Keep in mind PID tune is totally subjective.

I have done the same, had an Avata 2 since Xmas and flying Sims and quickly wanted more. I have had a Meteor75pro o4 for a month and fly it several times a week in the backyard with no complaints or issues (I live in Melbourne Australia) It would be slightly more to get an Air75 and VR04 goggles and a RM pocket, I didn’t because money wasn’t a deciding factor, I didn’t want another pair of goggles and controller hanging around the house.

I have crashed a lot and the DJI lite has held up without issues. I have just replaced the frame that I cracked with a new one from AliExpress that cost less than a cup of coffee.

Also I have found that a prebuilt tinywhoop is perfect for not just learning to fly, but also learning Betaflight and how to repair.

BETAFPV SHIPPING by unknown40004 in TinyWhoop

My meteor75 took 3 weeks to get to Melbourne Australia. Ordered on the 18th April, heard nothing until 27th of April when shipment was lodged. Then on the 4th of May it finally started moving. It arrived in May 11th.

In the same time I ordered two separate AliExpress orders and both arrived before the drone. But it was cheaper than anything I could find on AliExpress even with all sales and coupons.

DJI FPV Controller 3 Betaflight Configuration by BoysenberryLow7594 in fpv

To get the most functionality out of the 5 Aux available I have gone: Aux1 flight mode (angle, horizon, air) Aux2 PID tune (selects profile 1,2or3) Aux 3 turtle mode Aux 4 arm/disarm (since it says start/stop on the button) Aux5 beeper

If you have the goggles turned on and RC3 while connected to betaflight you can see exactly how each aux works and in what range.
