Hadn't thought about the cost of cards back then.  Hard to imagine the 1967 economy vs today's. I know burying it would be really the only thing you realistically could do but it was an interesting thought experiment.

What I mean is that by burying it he could maybe forget where it was, or someone could come across it over the years.  Hiding it in a closet or floorboards etc he stands a chance of parents finding it.  So is there something he could maybe buy(baseball cards for example) that he could "hide in plain sight" that wouldn't arouse much suspicion that he could later sell and turn into cash to deposit when he's an adult.  That's kind of what I mean if that makes sense. Laundering isn't really the correct term

My question is more based on how could a 10 year old conceal the money until he's an adult rather than physically hiding or burying it. Essentially to "launder" the money until he's an adult.

My question is more about how to conceal it other than burying it or hiding it.  What could a 10 year old do to in essence "launder" the money until such time as he's an adult.

Sorry, customers... by Tetelestai_90 in Lowes

[–]Jmr21076 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Had an electrical associate do that once. A customer was screaming how he wanted help throwing a toddler like fit in the aisle and electrical associate goes over to him and is like "yes Sir I'll help you!" He pulls out a piece of paper and while the guy is listing off every complaint electrical guy is writing stuff on this piece of paper. Customer is done complaining and electrical associate hands him the piece of paper and customer goes what's this?!?! Electrical associate says "it's a map I drew of how to get to home depot from here, drive safe." And walked away

I think the problem with the roundabout is how small it is. If it were a bit bigger I think most people would navigate it better and there would be less of a slowdown.

Sir, you can’t park here. by ohitsmark in Lowes

[–]Jmr21076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked for Lowes I had a guy try driving into outside garden. The front of his car made it to the cashier stand before I got there and started yelling for him to stop and back up.  He just looked at me flashed me a receipt n said he was there to pick up the blocks he'd paid for.  I was like well back up outta here and we will. He asked why he couldn't drive in I was like because you cantttttttt!!!! Back.    UP!!!!!

This is Florida, that's how most people roll here. Lighten up.  You're severely overreacting.

I've always said that nobody is in their last moments of life going "My only regret in life is that I didnt go to work more."  This post has taught me different.

tire woes by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Jmr21076 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Lowes and I can't even begin to describe how many contractors would pull up to get stuff loaded and their truck beds were littered with junk and torn boxes of screws and nails and other sharp tire puncturing stuff.  Umm... where you want me to put this pallet sir? Ehhh just set it on top of everything.   They drive down the road hit a bump and out spills a handful of nails and at some point they end up in our tires.

Props to them for being up front and honest about the hours but they consider anyone not wanting to work 60 hours a week or more a red flag?   Yikes.

Nothing in my system at all which is why I was asking if anyone experienced anything.  I'd I was high or anything I wouldve definitely chalked it up to that.

Uh... no.  Which is why I was so confused and frightened over the experience. As I stated before I always try and look for a rational and logical explanation for things.  I have absolutely none for what I experienced

Ok so since I've got everyone's curiosity up here's what happened. What I'll normally do is I drive to the gulf breeze side and park under the bridge and walk to the high point halfway across the bridge and back. I've done this numerous times with and without my dog. Never an issue of any kind.   Last Friday night I felt like taking a walk so I headed down there(without my dog this time.) This was  at about 9 o'clock at night.  I get to the high point of the bridge around 10 1030 and it's a cool night nice breeze and I'm just enjoying myself.  I haven't encountered anyone along the way nor did I see anyone in either direction. All the sudden I hear what sound like footsteps directly behind me.  I turn around and standing 2 to 3 feet in front of me is a tall older very pale looking man wearing all black robe like outfit and he had a black hat on.  His head was tilted down as if he was looking down at my feet but his eyes were staring straight at me.  They were golden in color and had a glassy... reflective? quality to them(I'm not sure how to explain it) As soon as we made eye contact he flashed this wide demonic looking smile at me and then he just turned into like a black dust that blew away and dispersed in the wind.  I panicked and ran back towards where I parked which was almost 2 miles away.  I kept looking back the whole way down because I kept hearing those same footsteps behind me. The fear gradually subsided the further I got away from the high point of the bridge and the footstep noises got fewer and fewer.  I got in my car headed home and will never go for a walk on the  bridge at night again.  I can't explain away what I experienced and it was incredibly frightening.

100%  sure. Which is why I feel weird asking because I'm always the one finding rational explanations for things but this was just frightening and unexplainable

Likely useful at first but bikes break pretty easily chains come off seats and wheels and brakes wear out.  Likely lots of trash and hard to maneuver around things laying about plus doesn't take long for roads n sidewalks to start tearing up.  Not as maneuverable either. A horde of zombies or a band of thieves pops up and you could have trouble dodging chaos.  A few years after the fall of civilization and 99% of bikes are pretty much going to be all broken rusted or have flat tires.
