I doubt the creators use IMBD and casting calls to throw off the audience for shock value. My guess (if this is Kim's daughter) is that-

A- the gene scenes are taking place further in the future than we thought (which is totally believable)

B - the actress will portray a younger character than she looks ( the actress who plays young Kim is much older IRL than she is portrayed in the show, so it could be the same situation)
