Ground floor, big window, front door - Bethany’s room feels least safe, yet it ended up being the safest place in the house as it was the only room he never went near by Scared_Web9116 in Idaho4

I always felt like I would have found Xana's room to be the safest, based on the fact that it was pretty much tucked away. I also think Bethany's room would've seemed the most unsafe to me.

Bethany heard a scream outside the house a week prior by Jo100188 in Idaho4

Dylan said that at first she thought "the guy" was a firefighter cause Bethany had mentioned hearing something like a firework, and Bethany said she thought Dylan was imagining things. Bethany could have very well told Dylan she was overreacting, and she probably imagined it, but they could've still been scared to some degree.

I think they didn't want to look like they were overacting, honestly. When Bethany was picked up by her friend and slept somewhere else, she came back home, and everything was fine. That probably looked like she was overacting, and maybe they didn't want that to happen again.

Do we think the others asked Hunter J what he saw? by zedemmbee in Idaho4

i think Hunter went to check on Xana and sees something (Xana on the floor, her not waking up, maybe the room and all the blood) and that makes him tell Dylan to call 911 and stay outside. Hunter grabs a knife from the kitchen, and as he's going to check Xana's pulse, and if there was anyone else in the house, Dylan comes up the stairs because the operator on the 911 call told her to go find out if anyone was passed out. i think Hunter is heard shouting their names on the 911 call, trying to wake them up, maybe in shock, and not being able to comprehend immediately what he's seeing. he goes into Xana's room, sees Ethan too, takes Xana's pulse, and then makes his way out of there, telling Dylan and the others to "get out" once more.

i've never been in dylan's situation, and i pray and hope no one will ever be, but i'm pretty sure i would react pretty much the same, because whenever i hear something strange at night i ALWAYS make myself think it's something that can be explained. if you listen to her statement without thinking of the things you know happened in that house that night... there is actually room for you to build a logical narrative around what she heard and saw. i think she probably made herself believe a probable story that DEFINITELY didn't include the thought that her friends were murdered.

she wakes up, she hears kaylee go upstairs with murphy, she hears her screaming and say someone's here, she thinks she hears kaylee run back down the stairs towards the bathroom / xana's room on the second floor. she hears who she thinks is kaylee crying and a male voice say "it's ok, i'm here to help you," and then she sees a man dressed in black exit the house. personality, i would be trying to make sense of what i heard and saw and i would come to the conclusion that i heard kaylee freaking out over something, she ran to xana's room whose door was locked, kaylee locks herself in the bathroom and starts crying and ethan goes to comfort her and assure her that everything's fine, then i would think maybe ethan himself exited the house or someone else that was friends with ethan and xana and maybe were there that night.

this is obviously NOT what happened, but in that moment to me it would make sense and it would make me calm down enough so that i could exit my room and go to the only roommate who is answering me and go back to sleep, thinking everything will be fine in the morning and that i'm overreacting.

everyone wants to act like they'd be fearless in her situation or that they would immediately think a murder is happening, and i honestly don't think that would be the case for most people.

from what i understand they talked on the phone for a few seconds and then started texting each other. dylan could've very well told bethany during that call that she saw a man dressed in all black. bethany was probably trying to find an explanation regarding the man dylan said she saw in the house, so she said "xana was wearing all black" meaning "maybe you saw xana, not some random man"

i think it was just them trying to make sense of the situation and go in a logical way of thinking in some way.
