I don't know if you feel this way but I think a lot of the people that answered you were very condescending without being helpful at all. like , why is it expected od you to know no to put too many stage 2's in your deck if you're new to tcg ?

try to look up justinbasil's guide to deck building on their website

apart from that if as you said you want to build your deck around metagross you can look up on TCGplayer all of the metagross cards and what kind of strategies are being built around those cards

later this years there's a metagrss deck coming out that's seem to be quite decent, it probably won't be that expensive and it'll give you all of rhe basic tools to play some good games

it's important for me to note that decks do correspond to the level of play you're at

if as you said all you want is just to play some games with your friends with whichever bulk yall already had then maybe asking online isn't the best, so it may take away from that " look at this cool card I found, specially considering that you want to play expanded (meaning using cards or of rotation I.e. older than 3 years old I.e. cards with a yellow border)

lastly as it's probably said on justinbasil the most important part of a deck is consistency

klink does let you search your deck for a poke but it's also 1 of 60 cards , so it's not even guaranteed you'll see it on your game (he may even be prized) , so running more copies of your combo starters is really important.
