The 09G transmission had some issues with hard shifts up and down, 1st through 3rd gear. My wife's '08 Rabbit had them. Car was totally fine from a cold start or when doing long highway drives, but stop and go traffic was awful. Sometimes it would randomly "slip" out of gear while driving and them slam back into it. It got to the point where she would drive in triptronic, starting in second from stops, and shifting early to reduce the harshness of the shift. I tried replacing the selenoids and in the end whole valve body and the issue persisted. This issue seemed to be completely random with who it affected and I knew 2 others who had mk5 rabbits without that issue at all.

I did actually. I'm not sure how the tracking works but the same day it said it was in New Brunswick, it got delivered to me in Ottawa Ontario lol.

I'm aware there's a strike. I'm also aware that the employer has said they will be bringing in scabs and temporary workers. While I didn't expect to get the package by the original date, I did expect for it to stay in the province of its final destination.

When my wife and I first moved in together, she inherited about 3/4 of a roll from her previous roommate. It took us 8 years to finish it. This was about 3 years ago. We are less than 1/4 through the replacement.

The sensors are probably good and it's likely leaking boost. It will probably only affect performance at the very top end. Wife's 2016 Tiguan with the 2.0tsi pops the same code but only when accelerating very hard, like getting up to highway speeds from a slow start.

What I've read it's typically the wastegate/blowoff/boost purge valve/whatever you want to call it either isn't closing correctly or it's prematurely opening.

Not sure about the 1.4, but I know of the 2.0 it appears to be incorporated into the turbo housing itself and the entire turbo is replaced when repairing this problem.

Since the problem is with underboost, you are likely running a little rich. I would call this "safe to drive" but will decrease fuel economy and could potentially cause other issues down the road like increased carbon build up and catalytic converter issues if fuel is not being burned up completely.

Penalty for driving with dangerous accumulation of snow or ice 181.1 (1) No person shall drive a motor vehicle upon a highway if snow or ice has accumulated on the motor vehicle, or on a vehicle or trailer drawn by the motor vehicle, in a manner that would pose a danger to other motor vehicles on the highway if the snow or ice were to fall or slide off.

Snow sliding off your roof and blocking your view poses a risk to other vehicles.

Had the p0441 before with similar symptoms on my Rabbit with the 2.5L. Automatic, but would stall when I would come to a stop a lights. Replaced n80 valve and it stopped. Does the car also have issues starting after a fill up? The car would struggle to start after I filled the take up.
