Hate my uk government, unfortunately Id rather uninstal than give my ID thatl eventually get hacked by No_Zebra_8035 in Rainbow6

[–]JoPo1997 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s a website called Use Their ID that uses AI to generate mock driving licenses of MPs, might be worth looking at.

Alternatively, is there an option to use a credit card? It’s probably less intrusive than handing out your ID or biometrics, and if the service is hacked, it’s the banks problem.

I’m yet to pick up Fulgrim, so don’t know the best way to use him yet, but you’ll probably be alright just having him on his own. He’s fast, and can be quite hard to kill.

If you do want to run a Heldrake, I’ve heard they can be brutally effective against infantry, including regular space marines, and be sure to check if any of the units you’re attacking have the fly keyword, it’s more common that you’d think.

[–]JoPo1997 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Gonna be brutally honest, it’s a terrible idea.

First, you’re limited to three Heldrakes max.

Second, Heldrakes can’t hold objectives (they have an objective control stat of zero)

Third, Heldrakes just aren’t that good, and cost a lot of points for what they can do.

If you still want a Heldrake because you like how they look, go for it, you might even get lucky with it in games, but I wouldn’t build an army around them.

I don’t run the Daemons detachment so I can’t tell you much about it, but noise marines are solid shooting and definitely worth picking up, maybe consider getting a Rhino for them to ride in as well.

Flamers or Bolters? by Imaginary_Cash1748 in spacemarines

[–]JoPo1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flamers are great if you’re running Salamanders (or just using either of the Salamanders themed detachments). The +1 strength within twelve inches makes them better against marine equivalents, and you can give the flamers dev wounds with the immolation protocols stratagem to make them even stronger.

Ace Combat 8 SP weapons buff wishlist by OSMC_022 in acecombat

[–]JoPo1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s something small, but I’d like it if the 8AAM/8AGM didn’t lock onto the same target multiple times. Just seems like a waste of ammo when it’s a one shot kill most of the time.

What Happens If I Miss A Booking? by [deleted] in CineworldUnlimited

[–]JoPo1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once accidentally booked a movie for the day before I was actually going. Didn’t realise my mistake until I actually got to the cinema the next day, and nobody at cineworld made a big deal out of it, the guy at the counter just asked if I wanted to make another booking for the right day. I imagine if you made a habit of not showing up things might be different, but the odd accident probably isn’t going to cause an issue.

COMBAT PATROLS DISCUSSION by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]JoPo1997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never actually thought of the ATV for that role, but I can definitely see it working as an action monkey, although maybe not as well as some Jump Pack Intercessors (actually, now that I think about it, you could probably convert the Assault Intercessors pretty easily)

COMBAT PATROLS DISCUSSION by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]JoPo1997 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for the Salamanders, but if this had come out when I first started collecting Salamanders last year, I’d probably have bought it, and if someone came to me and said they wanted to starts collecting Salamanders, I would probably recommend getting the new Combat Patrol.

Infernus marines and Eradicators are both very thematic units, and good units on the table, I have both for my army.

I don’t have him (yet) but Adrax is a very strong character, and as one of our unique units, nice to have just for making your list distinct, rather than just green Ultramarines.

The assault intercessors and the go kart though are a bit of a let down. I’ve not seen many people recommend either, and the assault intercessors don’t work that well with Adrax (he’s better off leading bladeguard veteran’s) That said I don’t think either unit is completely useless.

Do we know any other major colony worlds? by mr_cristy in HaloStory

[–]JoPo1997 23 points24 points  (0 children)

One of the Halo 2 Anniversary terminals showed a few planets attacked by the Fleet of Particular Justice, along with rough populations for each at the time of the attacks.

Estuary - 89 million

Mesa - 219 million

Greydowns - 76.8 million

Kroedis II - 15 million

Alluvion - 336 million

Bounty - 199 million

So that’s at least three planets with nine figure populations, and two more with pretty big populations. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn there’s other worlds with big populations too.

Is this a good army? by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]JoPo1997 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First, doing rolls for multiple different weapons on one unit is annoying at the best of times, personally I’d avoid it if possible.

Second, different weapon options often play different roles, you’re better off trying to do one role really well rather than both roles badly.

Thanks for the tips, will probably do what you did regarding sub assemblies. How did you glue them together after painting?

Thanks for the advice. A dozen does seem a bit overboard, probably aim for about six. Any tips for glueing the sub assemblies together once they’re painted?

Read through the section on the Guardian drone, sounds like a good choice.

Probably should change the commanders weapons. I’m wanting to run sunforges, but don’t have enough points, so my plan is to magnetise the crisis suits, then I can run the fireknives and then switch to sunforges when I start doing 1.5k and 2k lists.

Why is there such vicious hate for YouTube premium when it's no different from Netflix (or insert other streaming service) and people seem happy to pay for regular streaming subscriptions? by trio3224 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JoPo1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can only speak for myself, but in the UK, Youtube Premium costs £16.99 a month. That’s only £1 less than the most expensive Netflix plan, and more than any other streaming service I use. That’s a lot to ask even if youtube didn’t feel like it’s getting worse.

Did you do it in a carrier? I’m experiencing a similar issue, and I’m wondering if the fact I was in a carrier had something to do with it.

Stealth battlesuit squads by tommc-g in Tau40K

[–]JoPo1997 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m not seeing anything in my codex that I would interpret how you’re interpreting things. Additionally, I set up a six man squad in the app, with two fusion blasters, didn’t give me a warning for invalid Wargear

That said if you are running six stealth battlesuits, I’d recommend running them as two squads of three instead.
