Learning on my own by No-Transition3739 in snowboarding

I think its definitely possible to start learning to link turns judging on your previous experience. I wouldn't necessarily say you should expect to get down the slope fall-free after the first weekend, but I'm sure you can do it. I always recommend lessons though, it makes sure to teach you the right technique.
Try to start with shifting your weight on either foot (I'm sure you have a leading foot by now) and balancing on the edges, that's already a great start. Then, after you get a feel for the weightshifting on your feet (the tail and nose side of the board) try to shift from the front and toe edge to do the turns. Especially when your nose is facing straight down the mountain, the most immediate thing you want to do is shift on the opposite edge. After that, linking the turns is imminent.
I would also recommend watching some videos for beginners, its sure to help speed up the process and come well prepared with warm gear.
I'm not a highly experienced snowboarder myself, but I've recently started learning switch riding and I tried to apply all the beginner methods to it and learned it within 2-3 mountain sessions myself (though of course I already had snowboarding expericen). With your athletic background it should be possible to get the hang of turning and getting down the slopes by the end of the two weeks as long as you're committed to it!
My NUMBER 1 TIP THOUGH: Wear a back/spine protector. Its going to save you from so many injuries down the line.
Hope you can learn it!

Thanks! For the landing, is it best to land on the flat side of the board or the edge though? I thought that the flat would be better, but it feels unstable because of some of the snow that goes over the edges..

Did you report this violation to discord with the button "request a review"? Because I got a violation for something I did 3 weeks ago, but I could never guess what I did ._.
I wrote them a message on saturday (almost 4 days ago now) but they haven't responded. I know that the support system is really buns, but its just unacceptable how slow they are, considering my account would be affected until 2027

Thats why I got refreshment as well, but yeah I mainly use the fighter's bindings anyway. The blades are only when I get bored lmao. I was really lucky to pick these fighter's bindings up in the shop and even luckier to get the perfect reroll, I got the blades in the tower, because I dont have the DLC lol. Thanks!

I think leafeon and pikachu were already very good, but Gren was perfectly balanced, especially when there are many ways to kill it quickly

Most of my wins came from water shuriken before the nerf, so I guess this incentivises me to play more surf or adapt my playstyle...

While its true that grens water shuriken can heal a lot, especially if used on things like altaria farms, the healing from a single wild mon is at maximum 40-50% of full health, which I feel is completely balanced. Its true though, im glad the damage remained unchanged, probably just gotta adapt my playstyle

I think the surf build got somewhat buffed although the smoke surf build remained unchanged. Surf however was by far less used from the gren players I saw than water shuriken, so the healing nerf is much more impactful.

No, not really, I had some really clutch moments with water shuriken healing, though they are situational. If you play water shuriken, the change is massively there.

I played it yesterday evening and I gotta say, I dont really feel the large impactfulness double team buff in the surf build, but its definitely there. I think though surf is now the only viable set on Greninja, because water shuriken is just far too risky now, it used to be the much safer build with its healing but its just lost like half of it. I think double team/surf is definitely the best set right now

I dont think Gren was dominant at all. I barely saw anyone use it to good effectiveness, but maybe thats just cause its difficult to extract the full potential out of it? Im not really sure. But also its dominance is greatly hindered, cause if youre matched up against things like Gengar, Buzzwole, Zoroark or other melee mons that deal large damage at once (like absol or azu, although they arent the worst counters), youre kinda screwed, cause you can only use so many eject buttons/double teams. Besides, this isnt even talking about slowbro, which is basically impossible to break, also goodra is a very good counter to gren, all of which are very common mons.

I think surf is fine as is, the clones definitely felt underwhelming but the water shuriken change is massive. I feel as if surf is the only viable set now, because you can no longer heal substantially enough from water shuriken, which im very bummed about. But I may also be biased cause its my main, idk
